Me: Justicar, optimized for BE support.
Asari Adept...with a widow. Yep, that kind. Also carried a Geth SMG, just to keep recharge as slow as possible.
Human soldier with a GPS, and an avenger. Nothing inherently wrong with that because of the GPS, but not exactly a team class.
SI with a mantis and some assault rifle. Also nothing wrong with that, but he got fewer points than me, the support guy.
They weren't bad per se, though they clearly weren't used to Gold, and the complete lack of complementary classes killed us before extraction. Might be a long day tomorrow...

Highest required extraction should be Silver.
Why funnel all the less experienced players into the elite bracket? It's the recipie of disaster :<

I suspect that none of them had played on Gold much or at all (speaking under assumption since none of them were above N7 -115, and mine was there combined x3.5 or so.)
I figured, oh WTH, they all have mics and seem intelligent enough. They were all asking me what was the best approach to beating gold, pretty much appointing me leader (noooo pressure there).
Sure enough, we did it on FBW-G vs Geth (Hey I thought it was the best option with our combined resources), and we were sucessful (full extraction, no less). I think the most risky thing though, was me sitting by myself in the hack points which were luckily both right outside the camp-spot to the right.
I think this is a good opportunity for less experienced players to intermingle and learn from more experienced (non-[censored]) players.

Yup. As I sat waiting, I imagined there must be all kinds of pain and misery in Gold Land at the moment...

Some of the worst teamwork ever....damn quarian drawing agro to me and then running away.
Used 10+ consumables just to fail near the end of wave 9.

Oh, I imagine so. Normally, it takes no time at all to fill up a bronze lobby. Tonight, seemed like us bronzers had to wait forever to get Number 3 and 4 squadmates in a room. In public. On a Friday night.

LOL! The reverse effect, haha. I'd gladly join you for a bronze match as I need to relevel my soldiers.

Even though I signed on for Operation Carry, I loathe to think about who might be waiting if I go on again...

I'm a non Gold player I plan on doing Gold tonight. Time to get my level 10 character ready. If I get kick I will keep trying till I find a squad.
Good luck!

Indeed. The two to three games I played tonight, the players were bad. I mean, BAD bad... even for bronze. And not bad in that they died a lot, although I did feel a bit like a Revive Queen. But bad in that my Level 12 Turian Sentinel (promoted recently and re-leveling) was topping the scoreboard... doubling the score of the others guys... AND I AM A PLAYER WHO CONSTANTLY LANDS 3RD OR 4TH ON THE SCOREBOARD. ON BRONZE. REGULARLY.
So, if *I* was looking like a freakin' biotic god in the rooms... that meant something was horribly, horribly wrong. All the supposed "big fish" of bronze must've been trying to swim upstream in gold.
And I recognize you from the DA forums. Very nice. Hit me up on PS3 (DragonRacer13), will be playing off-and-on this weekend, would be happy to bronze it up with you. I only intend to try a gold room once or twice. Considering I don't enjoy silver, I don't intend to put too much time into this weekend's challenge. While winning a pack would be nice, the good players shouldn't have to put up with me for too long.

Just go for FBWhite + Geth + Gold. Even with the Decoy "nerf" you can still breeze through with pratically any combination of classes + a SEng.
The only issue I've ever had on that map outside of odd hack spawns that people just couldn't get to are when infiltrators decide that they must camp the "golden" cubicle. It's not a problem that has no solution, but it certainly makes things a bit harder for a SEng due to the fact that if he/she isn't in that cubicle, it becomes a bit more dangerous and time consuming to place decoys in that choke point properly.
That said, its doable regardless. Just run a SEng, and carry either a Carnifex or even a GPS if you can deal with a ~80-100% cd penalty. Either running with a GPS, its practically impossible to die due to the fact that you can recharge your shields every 3 seconds and almost every enemy will instantly lock onto your decoy as you stagger them with a headshot and/or your energy drain. If you aren't carrying a projectile weapon (GPS/Graal/etc) I highly recommend an AP mod as you'll have many opportunities to line up domino type shots and you'll see more than 10 Primes and triple that many Pyros.
