Actually on 6 gold matches Random/Cerberus/random Players i won 5 and got 1 to wave 10 only with my HV and my SI
Sometimes i really prefer having randoms who will actually put an effort and give to the game that dramatic hopeless touch xD

had 2 games with subpar players and a 3rd group which was good with a n7 1000+ player a n7 600+ player and another about ~400 (we had one leave after noone revived him and I didnt since I was capturing an obj. it was an idiot team too really). first two went phantom hunting and wiped frequently I didnt use medi on those s&*(&t teams. I just want to extract for the fking weekend event not number up on phantoms against other players. they also did crap on the scoreboard and died a lot, lead in all 3 rounds with only one success. left one round at wave 10 during obj because of crappy glory fking hog that didnt revive me.

Fracking useless. Just played with a human vanguard who did not eat Phantoms for breakfast. Fool.

Must have been an imposter. EVERY Vanguard eats Phantoms for breakfast. It's a healthy, mineral rich diet after all.

Bad Vanguards don't. Just played with a Human Vanguard on Gold who tried to heavy melee every Phantom after a charge and got grabbed four waves.

Also, most Vanguards don't seem to know how to avoid being grabbed by Phantoms after charge/nova.

I don't have any problems with random teams as long as they watch my back. :)

All I know is this morning was the worst experience I have had trying to find a decent random match. Even when I got so frustrated and did some silver runs people were just running around like it was bronze and dying minutes into every round. lol

I like the first time or still new to gold players.

Perfect gold matches get boring. But having new players makes me communicate more and in turn encourages the others to use their mic's, too.

Personally, I'd rather play with one other experienced gold player and two bronze players willing to work toward full extraction.

Why on earth did they do this?

Highest required extraction should be Silver.

Why funnel all the less experienced players into the elite bracket? It's the recipie of disaster :<

When i asked chris that he said this

Chris: Sorry, that is the current setting. We want to challenge the Community.

Me: Could you change it next time?

Chris: Possibly. Challenges change based on the targeted goal. We will try to keep them challenging though, or they aren't really "challenges".

Yep...

3 level 90's and below in almost every match...

Every single one has a Predator V or a Avenger VII... -.-

It took 55 minutes to find a decent match.

I wish more people had this type of mentality.

I'm usually a bronze player, but I recently went through a few gold runs with another bronze player and a couple of gold players. It was fun, laughs were had, things were learned, and full extractions were made. :)

Guess you just have to have the right kind of people for that, though.

I don't mind carrying 9,001 people...

But if NONE of you have a mic and I will just have to slave to revive you the whole time then I am going to either leave or kick some of you.

Come on! It is not that bad. Usually 2 gold + 2 bronze players.
It is funny though how can you get gold revival medal on third wave

I had some of the worst publich games tonight to date, really indescribably bad as in my Turian soldier carrying 3 Infiltrators in one game just as an example. Is it because of the contest?

No, I don't think so. Looks like the newcomer are better than the regular noobs we have. It's been pretty good weekend operation for me so-far. I haven't vote kicked anyone yet. Out of 5 games: 3 successful runs, 1 failed, 1 lost due to a bug. (All Random/Cerberus/Gold).

Amen! Gold matches start to feel a bit routine without a few newbies in there to cause some mayhem and force you to think on your feet. I like to think it makes everyone involved learn something new. Plus most of the guys new to Gold have worked really hard to earn their keep, which is a delight after playing with five million Geth Infiltrators who quit the moment they die.

Yup just finished a fbw Cerberus in lobby there where two AA and GE and I a GI. They all were fairly high n7 300 to 500. Ps they all had mics During the match I noticed the absent of BEs. Convoys of atlases would over run the two AAs We got the credits but failed at end of rd 10.

Looking at the stats, I topped followed by GE. The two AA had 1 10 biotic kill medal between them. Worst AA ever. Cerberus ard candy for the AA biotics. Never more have I continued to explain during a match

1. Stasis doesn't work on atlases
2. Warp then throw
3. One of u warp the other throw
4. Why don't I hear BEs?
5. Leave the devices to infiltrator just stay alive. Ps all 3 objectives were devices

i wish everyone could have this attitude, it would make noobs like me feel welcome in a gold match, sadly i tried 1 match and lets just say hostility is not much fun when your learning to play :(

i'd do alright if cover worked properly and revive *its very frustraiting when you press space to go into cover only to roll into the enemy* or try to revive but the silly thing just stands straight back up, though with my geth infiltraitor i keep trying to throw a turret down then remember oops im not using my geth engineer *total derp moment* :(

I've been having a pretty good time with all the new blood in Gold.

All of my friends have been offline or busy playing other things recently, so I've been running nothing but randoms, and there have been a LOT of obviously new Gold players about.
My win/loss ratio has gone down a little bit to be sure, but it's been more exciting than normal Gold matches with experienced players.

The community has damned near got Gold down to a science at this point, and while I love credits as much as the next guy it's nice to have to really work for them for a change.
As a bonus I get to help a Bronze Warrior experience the fun (using the Dwarf Fortress definition of "fun") that is gold.

Most of the New-To-Gold players I've been matched with have quickly realized that this ain't Bronze or Silver, and after a few deaths from running around out in the open started adhering to the Golden Rule of the Gears.

Some people have bad attitudes in general.  Others have little to no patience.  Don't concern yourself with those people.
Leave them to stand alone atop the mountain of fast friends they surely must have won with their winning personalities.

Most of us understand that no one is born with experience, and that stumbling along the way to gaining that experience is to be expected.  Queue up for another match, and keep on trucking.

Only play public randoms. Have done several gold full extractions this weekend. There have been some players who didn't quite know what they were doing but I haven't seen a lot of ragequit in my games. I better start knocking on wood. :)

Corrections

Either

A) Trying to mooch off the weekend event as in "let me join a gold game with good players mayber they will cover my ass enough to make the extraction" and get the "hard earned" commendation pack

B) Read above statemend, replace "make the extraction" with "claim i want to get better..but the truth is i just want the free credits and xp in case we make it to wave 10"

It's good for them, they'll learn. I hope.

I've now played 10 gold games and lost every one. What I've learned is that I'd rather be farming credits on Firebase White with Geth.
