It looks like you can kill them on any difficulty. However, you must complete a gold run in order to get the other pack.

Correction: You personally do not have to survive, it is a squad challenge this weekend, so as long as SOMEBODY survives then you're good.
Also, it does not matter the difficulty, but obviously gold gives you the most phantoms, thus making it the easiest way to achieve max phantom killing

 Our team must of taken out about 100-150 total.

They just kept spawning in groups so we opened up with stasis and sniper shots and a couple of times like 4-5 of them spawned together so we just used missiles on them.

We also had a Melee GI who was just tearing them apart with that super Saiyan attack lol

You know, I bet that probably set the number at like half or 2/3rds of the number of phantoms killed on any given weekend. Either that, or they dont keep track.

Can you imagine BW announcing "You fail! Yes, you."

I kill at least 15-20 Phantoms by myself on each round of Giant, probably played 5 rounds of it.

we played them on ghost and they were smoked
we played them on white and ate them like turkish delight
we played them on dagger and they were splattered
we played them on hydra and sent them packing to china
we played them on giant and tis was a chastisement
we played them on condor and turned them to fodder
we played them on glacier and hit them like a freighter

then we played them on reactor and it was a disaster

( cant sleep) and my eyes need a break from the game

Maybe three. The dozens I smacked a Stasis on usually got sniped before I could finish the job myself.

Did Cerberus Gold twice today. Managed full Extraction on the first, lasted to wave 9 on the second. That must have resulted in plenty of dead Phantom. First time beating Gold today, too!

I've discovered the Power of the Drell Adept today
Reave + Cluster Grenade helped me take out about 8 so far. Although one took me out in an early round.

At least 60. Geth Infiltrator heavy melee/GPS build with Hunter Mode means I'm actively hunting Phantoms, and killing everything else that gets in my way.

But mostly Phantoms. Wave 11 Cerberus Gold is like a dream come true.

well, I guess that in a week end there are at least 500000 people playing, so at least 2 phantoms each and it's easily done

I've lost track of how many Gold matches I've played tonight, I'd estimate about 6 or 7-- all to full extraction. There was one match in Glacier that went down horribly. I would say I account for a modest 35% (scored 1st in most matches, second in some) of the Phantom kills on a 4 player team, so assuming Gold throws about 30 Phantoms at you cumulatively (pulling that number out of my butt, seems reasonable):
My teams tonight killed about 180 Phantoms.
Personally I probably killed about 53? That seems about right.
Holy crop. 53 phantoms. You'd only need 20,000 people like me to meet the objective, and it's only Saturday morning.

To be as honest as possible without a tally count, 15 within 45 minutes, plus about 13 deaths caused by impalement.

I'd be surprised if it was less than 50 so far tonight, though.

It took me several games of Cerberus Gold before the randoms I met managed to pull their weight, and I'm not good enough to carry people through Gold by myself, so there were a few "Mission Failed"s on waves 5,6, and 7.
