...its appearance coincided with achievements not triggering. Not just DLC ones like other have had, but ones from the main game. For example, after I did the quest for the Urn, I replayed from a save to get the "Sacrilegious" achievement. Did what needed to be done, and... no Achievement popup. Went all the way the the next location and finished up things there, and nothing.
Calling up achievements on my XBox shows it as locked, but it does seem to have registered here when I look at my profile. What gives? Will this sort itself out? Can I keep playing? *sigh* Why the overcomplicated system? This is why I play on a console in the first place. I love gaming, but I hate it when I have to start hacking with crap, even the few simplistic things on the XBox (like the profile recovery trick).

timeout on me too. well. doesnt matter. as a long time gamer I can highly recommend playing on older consoles. No patches necessary and all games work fine 
Of course, graphics arent good as today, but who wants so? Just leave DAO for a while, play s.th. else. Im sure they will fix everything whats mentioned here. Why? Because they want to sell DLC. Its a bad reputation if the main game engine isnt working properly. So they will fix. Im sure. Go with megadrive or snes a while (those games there are still great).

I got a timed out message a few hours ago, and since have had corrupt saves. Anyone else experience this?

Ive had the same problem as the OP, only with the Romance Achievement for Zevran. This site says i have it but my X box disagrees

I have had the timed out message almost as many times as i havent but havent had any corrupt saves. The message seems to happen to everyone sooner or later. Are you sure the to are connected?

Well, I'm certainly connected to XBox Live, and certainly have an account here. Not sure where else I need to connect. I've already associated the accounts and have gone through the DLCs and stuff...
I only mention the connection because it hasn't been able to find my profile all night, and this is when the corrupt saves have occurred.
