 I realized that many PS3 players who have never attempted gold will be trying this weekend. With that said, any good tips to give us PS3 people?

Personally, I play silver/gold depending on what I am doing. My own personal experiences since last night are that people don't realize their Krogans, especially Battlemasters are not quite the same in gold. You may wreck face on bronze, but Biotic Charging multiple geth primes is not going to work on gold.

Make sure to clean up before reviving anyone unless you have a safe shot at doing so. That's how I see games lost on Ps3 the most. People are like "I'll save you!" they revive the person only to die themselves, then the revived player dies.

biotic explosions are key. Never rely on sole weapon damage to get you out of sticky situation.

Stay out of gold.
If you can not pull your weight and you are a weak link and have not tried gold (or even silver) up to this point then stay away.
It isn't fair you should miss out, but it isn't fair to enforce your noobishness (is that a word?) on the rest of the team.

But most wont listen to common sense because they are after the rewards so...

Make sure you got an infiltrator (whatever you like, SI preferred) and either:
Mantis X with AP mod and Extended barrel V
Or
Widow (whatever) with Thermal clip and extended barrel V

Put all your points in: Health/shields, weapon and headshot damage, and cloak damage in tac cloak- learn to cloak and shoot and rinse and repeat. (4th is up to you depending on which infil you got, I got quarian so 5 in stick and 3 in sabotage)

Also if you see other players who are clearly more experienced make sure to cloak and revive them and also go after objectives.

EDIT: Also you wont be dealing with Pimes this weekend since its Cerberus you meant to kill, specifically phantoms...

If your just after the extraction do firebase white geth gold. It really is easier than bronze if your team know what to do. I managed a full extraction on the very first gold run i ever did on that setup. Try and take a class that has overload and be high a level as you can. I used my turian sentinal who was level 18 i believe.

First you need a good team or at least people with whom you play normally.
With two engineers and two infiltrators the team wins easily.
