So I've been playing with the character creator a bit... and it's great but I really love that font... anyone know what the font is called, if it's unique to the game or any others LIKE it?

I'd like to hear the answer to this one as well. The font used in the codex is quite nice and, as a font collector, I'd like to get my hands on it.



Unfortunately, What the Font can't seem to identify it. Any ideas?

Just chiming in to say I'd like to know as well. It would be useful to have on buttons and things for the Dragon Age Podcast site. I haven't been able to find anything on my own yet, but in time I expect someone to recreate the font on their own if nothing else. I just hope it doesn't take too long. I don't know anything about creating fonts myself.

Ty, I've been trying to find out what the main text throughout the game is for a while now. Also for more info, the main title font is Valdemar (not free), which has been manipulated a bit to look the way the DA team wants.

I'll also add that Mikadan doesn't work well in large blocks or smaller font, it's too much effort to read. The main reason I have been wanting this font for a while is to use it in World of Warcraft's UI (where you can do a simple font replacement via override). While it did look nice in the headers for names and such; just like in DAO where you see "Alistair", "Archdemon", etc; it did not look that great in the tooltips for spell info, menus, and other such smaller things.

The Dragon Age Origins font although similar is not Mikadan, but called Nogard, (Probably Mikadan tweaked for the game) and is within the toolset..somewhere. (I don't remember)

DAO font is in the Dragon Age > packages > core > data > gui.erf (nogard.ttf and nogard_text.ttf)
