Hm, I already got the ones I'd really want. I have kinda fond memories of King's Quest 7 - is 8 any good, so that I should get the two?
8 is considered the least favourite of the King's Quest series as it's more action/RPG then an adventure game. I have the original CD version and the loading times between zones was really bad, camera is also a little hit and miss.

Ha, I was just about to post this. The madness...!
Very true.
Also as a heads up games from the Square Enix/Eidos catalog are apparently ending there sales in the next 24 to 48 hours so if you are still thinking about them now is the time.

Yesterday I gave King of Dragon Pass a try, and damn, what an enjoyable little game!
That game is great. Deep lore, very unpredictable, interesting interaction. However I suck at resource management
I'm so glad A New Beginning made it to GOG. I look forward to play it during holidays.

GOG implied that BG2 will be discounted, so maybe you should wait a bit longer. My guess is it will be a part of RPG or Bioware bundle.Skelter192 wrote...

I already own Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 the games I mentioned are the ones I'm interested in but I'm a fickle person and I'd end up buying them all and never playing them.

Can't recommend FTL enough if you think it looks interesting. Definitely one of the best games of the year.
Other than that... well, you can never go wrong with throwing cash at Planescape: Torment no matter how many times you've played it before. It offers what is possibly the best written and refreshing video game story of all time and still looks fantastic with the widescreen mod. Always play it as a mage on easy and ignore the combat system as much as you can.

Just throw this on there first. www.co8.org/forum/showthread.php
It's the game that the upcoming www.chaos-chronicles.com/ is using as it's benchmark. (combat wise)
"Temple of Elemental shall be our paradigm" when referring to the combat system of Chaos Chronicles.
