So it looks like Far Cry 1 & 2 are $2.50 each, at 75% off.

Never played the original, but Far Cry 2 was pretty damned good, had an african vibe and faction-based missions. It was also damned huge, though I'd say FC3 had better variety in its environmental design.

But it's freaking $2.50, so if an open-world FPS sounds appealing to you, I'd grab it.

FRACT OSC got released.

An abstract sound-driven exploration-focused puzzle game that is also a first-person perspective interactive music synthesizer largely inspired by the aesthetics of the TRON movies, is available 10% off on GOG.com. That's only $13.49 for the first week.

I came. The Metacritic Scores look good. You can find the trailer here. The concept itself sounds reeeeally appealing, though. Seems somewhat along the lines of Chroma. Found some Fract Gameplay, it's....weird in a good way. Had some interesting puzzles at the end, but the video is mostly exploring.

I tried Divinity 1&2. Divine Divinity is sort of a mish mash between arcanum, ultima, and diablo. It's got pretty great writing, but I wasn't blown away. Divine 2 is sort of like a budget-version of DA:O or The Witcher. At best, it's around an 8 and if you like the games I listed above(and the game's on sale), it's a decent time-sink.

I'm kicking myself for forgetting to pick up Populous: The Beginning when it was on sale. I lost the CD years ago but still have the empty box.

Tried out the first half hour of the game. It's a very immersive, radically different title from most adventure games. Any fans of Myst or Tranquil Explore-athons will probably dig it. The world(s) in here are absolutely huge and don't hold your hand with navigational arrows i.e. Skyrim/Halo. Definitely would suggest playing at night with headphones. The puzzles are very cryptic as you have to essentially "pause" the game to see them. So if those elements appeal to you, I'd say go get it.

I can't believe Epiphany's release almost slipped by me because I hadn't looked at GoG in a while... The Blackwell series as a whole very much gets my recommendation for adventure fans and in a sense it almost makes me a touch sad that this is the final chapter.
