Yeah, that about sums up the Summer Sale so far. The new Flash Deals are close to how they did the Insomniac Sale, but it's time-based instead of how many are bought. Also helps that you'll be getting many deals at once instead of being stuck with one you may not want.

Pros: Many Options At Once, Aren't all Deals that are tied to one game.
Cons: Gonna have to check GoG fairly often.

The surprisingly fun game Puddle is a measley $1.19 at the moment, Overlord + Raising Hell is $2.49. I bought the original for $60...

Might be either a new release, or having all the flash deals available at once. They're known for doing that near the end of the GoG summer/winter sales. Honestly, I haven't bought a damned thing yet. None of them really grabbed me. :| Not sure how to feel about flash deals - it's sort of like the Insomniac Sale, but more varied in options. Dunno.

That, and a crapload of mega-deals just flew up on GoG. All the Thief games for 6 Bucks. Seriously. System Shock 2 for 2 dollars. An $85 package of Sam & Max Games for less than $10.

I just got Rayman 2. I've played some bad ports but yeesh. I needed to work to use my gamepad and now it won't even make it out of the pirate ship without crashing. Not to mention that the sound quality is inferior to the N64 version. Be careful when buying older, ported games.

If you haven't done so yet try checking out the GOG Rayman forums, they normally have tons of info to help fix certain problems or even links to fan made patches and mods to help performance.

I did. There is a special .dll you need to enable joystick. Also, Data Exe prevention can be a nuisance sometimes.

Yep, quite a few of the older games can either need patches or had compatibility issues. I used to have major frame rate issues with Planescape: Torment due to my nVidia card, requiring a whole new application to fix it. I had a game-breaking crash about half-way in and had to do the whole game all over again. At that point I always kept Backup Saves for pretty much any game beyond 10 years old. :-/ PS:T is also one of the best games I've played - no pain, no gain?

But yeah, if something's wrong, they've probably made a topic about it. If they haven't, try putting it in google. Besides, you're not paying $50-60 a pop for them, so it's relatively small stuff in my opinion. On an unrelated note, Assassins Creed, Rogue Legacy, Duke Nukem 3D, and Hotline Miami are the Hourly specials at the moment.

Just bought duke nukem 3d and System Shock 2 for OS X.Thank God they have it for the platform!!! I love GOG for their generosity and consideration for old games. But PLEASE GET A OS X version of Thief Gold, GOG. You already have SS2 and it runs on the same exact engine as Thief.
