So I finished Apotheon. It is indeed a great game, and not just due to the Historically Depicted Art Style. The level design and boss encounters are impressive, Athena in particular was a treat. I'd personally recommend waiting for a sale before buying it, though.

Also tried Serious Sam. It's a poor man's arcade shooter, I wasn't enticed very much. Boring level design and uninspired, though the monster designs are very outlandish and good for a laugh, I suppose.

Been replaying Psychonauts and realized why I didn't enjoy the gameplay as much: Playing on a keyboard. I suppose it's a rule of thumb for Third-Person Action/Platformers to use a controller instead, and it's been a far more enjoyable experience. It's surprising sometimes how some of the bits in the walking vaults are connected to the Dreamscapes themselves. Before entering the "Milkman Conspiracy" level, the guard babbles incoherently with a lot of mish-mashed dialogue pieces. Most of them are just being oddball comments, but he once mentioned the name Hernando, which happens to be very much connected to his story.

Yeah, Bastion for 60% off is a steal. Strong atmosphere and a dynamic narration system. The gameplay is mostly a hack-and-slash-y ordeal. F.E.A.R. isn't a bad run for 5 bucks. It's generally considered the better of the three.

Odd for Mortal Kombat to be listed. I wondering if GoG is going to start throwing in old console game ports the way Steam sometimes does.

Well these are the original DOS PC games not the arcade ports that were released on Steam so not sure, though someone did contact Disney about releasing Star Wars Console games on GOG and the reply they got back hinted they were looking into it.

Morally obligated to throw my 2 cents in here.

Beatbuddy was a pleasant surprise when I got gifted this one. Creatures and Environmental features in the game all cause specific sounds played to a beat, so the music can change based off of either what actions you take or where you're around. Has some neat puzzles - isn't a huge-budget game, but the aesthetics looks great regardless.

Brutal Legend is worth grabbing for 3 bucks if you're big on metal music. The Storyline and Graphics are severely lacking, but it's got a nice open-world with a decent aural selection and a neat third-person strategy mechanic. It's not quite the next best Tim Schafer game, but for 3 bloody Dollars, I'd say it's worth the trip.

Fract OSC is pretty slick. It mixes a Outlandish Tron-esque world with first-person musically-based puzzles. Myst Meets Frequency, I guess. My only complaint is that since the game literally tells you jack about how to solve said puzzles, some of the bigger ones near the end can be more confusing and frustrating instead. Otherwise, it was a treat.
