Whoa. I remember Eurypterid mentioning that game, and it sort of obscured out of my memory for a while. Yeah, I can pretty much guarantee I'm getting this when it comes out. I can get what's essentially Diablo, but with the direct opposite in terms of DRM?

If you are planning to only get Sam & Max 3 and Back to the Future you might as well add Wallace and Gromit as the savings make it a free game when compared to the price of the two games by themselves (actually it's a penny cheaper)

I saw the trailer. Seems like a strange mix between Futurama, Penny Arcade, and Anything Tim Schafer worked on. Looks pretty neat. Art seems pretty slick, though hard to tell much else.

Machinarium and botanicula for $5 each is pretty damned good. I'm not particularly knowledgable with the other titles.

I can vote for Gemini Rue anytime, a splendid very very old schoolish adventure. It has a nice sci-fi plot.

Blackwell bundle is good too, you can even get a little Gabriel Knight vibe form it.

I played a bit of Gemini Rue and nerded out immediately. It's a bit between Blade Runner and Full Throttle, in all the right ways. Machinarium has been pretty neat so far. Reminds me a bit of Wall-E from the beginning bits with that Nonverbal Isolationist vibe. Botanicula's very pretty, but didn't engage me quite as much. I've only played all of 5 minutes of it, so can't quite say for sure how it will fair. Overall, this is going very well.

^Some great deals in there. But the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition comes out in a few days so I'll probably pick up that version instead.

True. PS:T may get an enhanced edition, but to be determined at the moment. Icewind Dale for less than 5 dollars a pop is pretty damned good - Same with NWN. Already have BG2 & PS:T, NWN I already beat a long time ago.

Icewind Dale 2 I loved even more than the first. Uses the third edition rules which I preferred. Temple of Elemental Evil is also great.

PS:T and BG2 don't need EEs like BG does imo. The modding is quite extensive on both of the former. BG1 never got the same kind of love. Even the widescreen mod didn't work with it.(Not well, anyways) So I'd say get BG:EE, but don't worry about the other EEs unless you really want BG2:EE(which is the only other confirmed atm).

PS:T especially doesn't need an EE, I'm fine with the original. With BG2, I partially agree. The environments still look sharp in the original, but many of the NPCs and such certainly show their age. I've always been iffy about remakes, as you're often better with the original. What I would love to see is V:tmB with a graphics engine similar to what Rocksteady has been using for Arkham City/Asylum. Bug-free, naturally. That might just be worth it.

Anywho, haven't decided if I'm going to grab the above. I'm hoping to see some of the Gabriel Knight/Syberia series on sale.

FTL has been on my radar for a few months now. PC Gamer keeps doing articles on it that have me excited to give it a try. Planning on picking it up this afternoon when it hits Steam.

Why get it on Steam when you can get it DRM free on GOG?

What wolfsite said. If it's a steam exclusive i.e. Braid/Amnesia/V:tmB, that's one thing.
If it's multi-platform, so to speak, I'd say Go GoG. They throw in craploads of extra content with the game as is. Some of it(i.e. avatars) I won't use, but the Behind the scenes and soundtracks are very nice to have.

Because I don't obsess over DRM like many do? But more seriously, I'm picking up a few other things off Steam today and its easier to have it all on one charge.
