I've got a possible plan for later on down the road to creat a new weapon type, the bullwhip. I was thinking of using the sling animations for the PC and just adding the custom whip with animation to the mix for the mechanical work. Now, just curious if this is at all possible first off, and secondly, how would I go about exporting the whip and it's animations? I assume I would go about the same rout layed out in the Obsidian exportron videos?
All in all, just curious really if its something that could be done or if there's any major road blocks down the road that would prevent it from happening.
Thanks!
Adding weapon animations.

iirc, weapons can't be animated (ie move). It's possible I'm wrong.

Flail?
Which I guess if that's in then that answers my question if it's doable. Just curious then if there's a tutorial or I use obsidians videos for exporting animated objects.

there was an animated flail? never saw such a thing^^
i am of the same opinion as kamal - weapon animations are a no-go within nwn2.
edit: hm, have to check this out

I think there is a "kinda" animated flail...the way it moves it looks like it has about three nodes or whatchamacallits in it. It's not really a smooth chain look.
For that matter, there is a whip item, which I've been told isn't really possible. Again, though, it looks pretty terrible.
So I guess on some levels it depends what your standards are. Perhaps it just means that you can use weapons with the standard 3 parts and animate some of them. That's not really enough to give a smooth motion.

OK well in this weapon tutorial here: http://vnfiles.ign.c...itemstonwn2.pdf it had mention you can add weapon animations. It's the only place I've found anywhere mention it though.
"Weapons can handle animations too (like a flail i.e.), so
these steps can change if you
want to add an animation
skeleton for a new base item to
the model and enter into the
mayhem of making animations
for every PC’s movement."
