I've been able to launch and play ME3 for nearly a month when all of a sudden I can't get it to launch. The only thing I did was update my sound card driver. After the issue, I rolled back the driver update to no avail. I then uninstalled and reinstalled Orgin. When that did not fix it, I uninstalled and reinstalled Mass Effect 3, no fix either. I'm at a lost. I don't even get the start up splash. I have tried launching from the Origin interface and then directly from the deskstop shortcut and then the application link in the program folder. Nothing works! Anyone else encounter this???

I haven't encountered this. But check your task manager. Does it list any masseffect3.exe 's in the processes tab?

Negative, all I get is Origin pop up "Launching Mass Effect 3 N7 Collector Edition"...and then nothing happens.

Run the config and make sure everything is set properly.
Try "run as administrator" for the masseffect3.exe

Config looks right and running as administrator didn't change anything

I'm at a loss. Restart your computer? Run an update check for ME3. Repair install ? (I know you already reinstalled.)

Hopefully someone else can help you. Maybe EA Help has some suggestions. But who knows if they will just copy/paste the same things you've already tried.

Yeah...none of that worked either. I even looked around the event logs in windows for some clues, got nothing. This is so odd.

Well, there's that option in Origin for "enable in game log file." But I have no idea if that would help you with anything, or provide you with any clues (other than EA level 2/3 tech being able to analyze it.)

Hey, not sure if you're still watching this thread, but go to C:\\ProgramData\\Origin\\Logs , and open Client_Log.html
See if any errors are listed there.

I had the same problem where ME3 ran the first time but not after that. Im running windows 7 64bit professional. I was running ME3 as an administrator but not origin. I made sure to click the checkbox for both executables run as administrator and it fixed my problem. ME3 ran after that. Hope that helps.

Thank you friend! I'm sure which one did the trick, but I opened the Origin folder and set all the applications (4 of them) to run as admin. I already had ME 3 set as admin and the main origin exe file. I restarted the computer and presto, the game launched. Appreciate the help!
