Everyone:

... I was buying supplies and whatnot from the store, using credits I'd earned in-game. That went fine. But then I decided to purchase a Spectre pack with funds from my PSN account. That's when things went topsy turvy. ME3 accessed the PS Store and, just as I clicked to accept the transaction, everything froze.

I ejected the ME3 disc and waited for the PS3 to reboot, because that's what it always does. Well, it didn't this time. It just sat there. I tried to power it down normally, but it was unresponsive. I tried again, but nothing changed. In the end, I had to unplug it. Yeah, I know you're not supposed to do that, but the usual steps to get the PS3 functional again weren't working.

I've had ME3 hard-freeze my PS3 before, primarily in MP. But this takes the cake. Not even Skyrim locked up my PS3 as bad as ME3 did this time (and that's saying something). Odds are, it probably had something to do with ME3 accessing the PS Store, and I had been playing the MP portion for roughly 2.5 hours. Still, it's disconcerting to have this happen.

Well, I plugged the PS3 back in after letting it sit for 15 minutes. It started up normally, I sent a bug report to Sony, and then the PS3 spent another 3 minutes or so checking the HD for corruption (none found).

*sigh* At least it's working again.

I've seen a lot of people mention errors while buying with real money, which is odd you'd think they'd tech support the heck out of that-given it gives them money. lol

Yeah, it was the first time it'd ever happened to me. Afterward, I simply decided to stockpile more than 200,000 credits and go on a buying spree.
