JUST now got one, full extraction, Cerb on FBW (but not camping in the room). That's my second successful gold run ever. AA, Lvl 20, 200% cooldown pistol, pitching biotic 'splosions all game long. I came in 3rd, very close to 2nd place but #1 player was almost double the rest of us - unreal.

Ah, that's disappointing.  Hopefully you run into a squad that can help you reach extraction on Gold.

3 x extraction this weekend, 1 failed. Isn't too hard when there is at least one good player in the team, but my favourite guns (vindicator/ tempest ..) are almost rendered useless in gold. So i'll probably go back to silver.

About half a dozen gold extractions since last night, but man, there are some really awful players this weekend (and you know if I say they're awful, they are really bad, since I'm incredibly average as a player).

I was trying to play some bronze matches earlier just to level a couple characters, but when it was always me left alive to finish a round and I had top score...yeah. Amazing, but gold matches were way easier than bronze, yesterday and today. o_O

Wait wait wait am not good because the people on my team on gold all go down in 10 seconds on gold from assault troopers?

I'm just pointing out that part of the skill in a coop game is getting the best out of your team and perhaps supporting less experienced players.

Its all very well romping through gold with  4 SIs with Widdow X but I would humbly suggest that helping some less experienced players handle gold as an extra challenge would be the mark of a really, really good player.

Well this thread was more directed to people who achieved gold extraction for the first time ever,like me, thanks to this weekend event
In fact it's the first time I play gold, for the pack. Or the first time I try any difficulty that's not "normal" or below, in any ME game.

Got it the first day, on my first pub run. Hydra against cerberus.
Had a salarian engineer, human engineer, claymore infiltrator (me), and a batarian soldier that wasn't too great. We made it out though with little fuss.

I finished a gold match against cerberus full extraction on friday afternoon. Not realising of course that the operation hadbn't started yet.

I'm working all weekend so I just FBW/G/G'd it so I don't have to worry. I feel cheap and dirty now.

first gold match i did, the other 3 players scatered in different directions and were dead within 20 seconds of the first wave. 2 of the players had had N7 rating over 200 so i thought they would have a clue how to play as a team but obviously not. I revived 2 people, died reviving a third time. At the end of the match I saw that the 3 people managed to get only 3 kills combined and I had around 15.

The next group I joined played as a team and got full extraction 3 times in a row. I normally play silvers and gold wasn't that much harder if u have a good team. Best advice I have for bronze players trying gold is to stick together, use some level 3 equipment and don't get caught running around in the open. Also it's best to use a class that has decent powers so u can stay in cover more often.

Played 1 round just for the Op exorcist challenge. Gotta say the game is feeling kinda tired now. Maybe I just overplayed MP in the first couple of weeks.

Yes, only once though. Normally I get several full extracts per day.

I did in my second game. First game, two people dropped and me (human engineer) and a salarian infiltrator were tech bursting like bosses, then a grab got glitched at the end of wave 7 making the enemy unable to move or attack, but also invulnerable, so we had to drop.

Second game, was crazy. Ended up being geth/white (set on random, mind you) and had deaths all around. Human infiltrator, human engineer (me again), asari vanguard, salarian engineer. The infiltrator had a kishock and the vanguard covered our rear pretty well, while the us two engineers electrocuted the crap out of everything in sight. I thought we were finished a few times when three of us were out and the salarian took a third of the wave by himself. That guy deserves a spectre pack full of nothing but medi-gel, I tell you what. It was fun, but I honestly don't want to do it ever again.

Two Geth (including myself), two Salarians - full extraction.

Spent most of Wave 11 hunkered down in cover, letting off pot-shots, then all four of us ran like bejeezus to the Extraction Point once the clock hit 0:20 seconds.

Needless to say, we all felt like Big Damn Heroes afterward - bring on them Commendation Packs...
