The real cancers is:

-The “elitist” F’ers that like booting people out of a match based on your N-7 number. Or for me one time getting voted out BEFORE I even got to the lobby. Just get to there and the message of being voted out hits my screen.

Did it occour to you that they might have been waiting for friends to join?

Not everyone is an elitist you know.

Nor is everyone waiting for a friends. Logics says that if you're creating a room for you and your friends you make it private not public.

Unless there isnt 4 of you.

Ive done it before. Started a game and invited 1 or 2 friends, had it set to public so another person could join, kicked people so my firends can get in first.

If you set it to private to start with and change it, it takes much longer for the lobby to fill up.

So a few people need to get kicked. Im not gonna feel bad about it, if people are really getting upset about it, they need to grow up asap!

Then have the courtesy too use a mic and say “sorry we are waiting on a friend”.

They could just do this -

Operation Aggression

Due to overwhelming amounts of losses in Firebase White, the Geth have deployed several tactically trained forces to take the base back. The ultimate amount of N7 Forces there recently has pushed the Geth back. The Geth are not happy, and with this comes retaliation. The Geth will have three times the Primes, and twice the amount of forces on the map. Trained units were sent to retake the base, and have received buffs that will make any player staggered by the sheer force of these units.

It could be in place for a while until people back off, and the Geth will have victory.

I like this idea. It would add a little more diversity to Gold games, help the less dedicated farmers remember that there is an entire game outside of Firebase White, screw with the extreme farmers to no end...

...and since you wrote it in that weird and not-quite-sensical way that all of "Admiral Hackett's" event announcements have, it sounds official, too!

Only downside of this plan is that the amount of complaint threads on the forums would increase tenfold.

It takes all of what, 15 seconds, for the game to realize that you've changed the lobby settingsand allows people to join? And maybe two minutes more for one person to actually end up joining? I must admit, if you think that two minutes is an intolerably long time to wait, you've obviously never used public transportation.

So a few people need to get kicked. Im not gonna feel bad about it, if people are really getting upset about it, they need to grow up asap!

As I understand it, impatience and a desire for instant gratification are two of the most definitive characteristics of three-year-olds. Ironic, no?

Ah yes! The word "no". Now, what age group is known for using this word indiscriminately and ubiquitously? If you guessed three-year-olds, then you, sir, are....CORRECT!

Sometimes my friends are busy and I play pub matches. And guess what pops up in 9 out of 10?

Now, could you please explain to me, like you'd explain to an idiot, because I obviously cannot comprehend something as simple as the question to why in seven hells dont you host a match?

I mean seriously. Instead of clicking "Quick match" you click on "create match" or whatever the button is called, set parameters on Public - Random - Random - Gold and wait for the flurry of like-minded people to join in.

Is it that bloody hard? Do you honestly think you'll have to wait for ages for somebody to show up?

I mean, seriously??

Yay another FBW qq thread.

[insert stereotypical "dont play FBW then" answer]

Seriously. Find some friends, or better yet, a guild on ME3, and have your cake and eat it too on random/random Gold matches.

Happens EVERY day here in Mass Rejects. For the last TWO WEEKS. Only did one farming match in the past month to introduce a newer player to the concept, then did random gold maps/enemies the rest of the night.

As you wish I try to like I'd explain to an idiot - when hosting there are two problems:

1) It takes too much time to fill your own lobby. No matter the setup - random/random, Cerberus, Reapers etc. Today I made experiment - picked Reapers&Random map, 30 minutes and lobby is empty.
2) Even if people enter lobby, too many leave it, when they see random/random setup for example.

To be fair, a lot of people leave random/random because they tried to search for specific parameters (like Cerberus White or Reapers Condor) and got placed into your random/random game instead thanks to the idiotic coding that runs the search function.

With a crap lottery system that you have NO control over, I see it as an equalizer. My buds and I love to do the hard stuff, yeah, but since we have to have semi decent gear to pull it off, and again, the crap lottery system, it has to be done.

Also, it is so automatic that we can play the game and catch up on our lives, 2 birds with one stone.

It was just example. If you choose specific map and enemy it takes even longer. Once my friends and I needed one random to fill the lobby and we had a specific map. About 10 minutes and nobody joined us. Once we set random map, people began to join very quickly, and after few kicks we started.

There's nothing wrong with people wanting to play that setup really. Yes it's repetitive and boring and all that, but if you don't want to play it, just host your own game that isn't set to FBW/Geth/Gold.

You should worry less about what other people that you've never met and probably never will meet are doing with their spare time.

/thread.

Anyone who doesn't get this is the cancer.

open

its back open...and what!!!!

but who cares...half the people that farm fbw:geth dont even do it properly anyway, probably half the lobbies I have joined dont even have an salarian engineer to use decoy....

i do fbw:geth when none of my friends are on...and i want to go make something to eat...i also use it to boost my lower level characters

did FBW/G/G today with full batarian soldier team, 21½ min. about as fast as you can do it with the engineers. this one just involved more grabbing than usually ;D

It's just an excuse. People always farm. Yeah, I agree with the better store system there wouldn't have been so many farmers but farming is inevitable. When people can get easy and fast creds, they will do it. Now even bronze players can get more money from 1 FB W/G/G than from 4 bronze games and the same ease.
