Its easy to find other matches(at least on xbox), just search for a specific map or for reapers/cerberus. Alternatively host and change the settings to whatever you want.

I do wish to play against Geth too you know.

I suppose Bioware could add an extra search option "Uknown" for matches specifically set to "Uknown".

Alot of you are full of B.S and you know it. Even if you try and host your own game many of the decent players leave if its not geth on FBW. I think your just being defensive because its the only map you can play on gold. You can't deny that 80% of Gold is Geth on FBW.

That's good advice, if FW/G/G didn't exist. That's all people want to play so as soon as they come into a random/random lobby, they'll immediately leave and look for FW/G/G, assuming they're not already searching for that specifically to begin with.

It's beginning to become the way Jedi Knight was right at the end. Nine games out of ten were "no force/battleground jedi" and that's all that anyone would play. And if you weren't playing that, you'd sit in a lobby for over an hour to find one person willing to play something else only to have them leave ten minutes later due to no one else joining.

So first you complain that there is too much FBW/Geth/Gold, so we tell you the workaround that everybody knew you already knew.

Then you complain that not enough players want to play your setup.

You're basically trying to tell Bioware to make people play the way that you specifically want them to play.

People can play whatever way they want, if it doesn't line up with how you want to play, you may have wait times if you don't have a group of friends online at the time to play with.

Besides, if they do fix it, you'll just come back complaining that a bunch of bad FBW/G/G players are in your random/random/gold now. Or that they all went back to silver and you have a wait time again.

According to OP most of the decent players want to play things over than FBWGG because the people who do are a cancer. Finding 3 other people out of the thousands that play MP who want to play something other than that shouldn't be that difficult. 

Also, who cares if that's all they can play? What business is that to you and how are you going to tell somehow how they should and shouldn't play a video game?

Quit getting butthurt because people aren't catering to your wants. Simple as that.

@Rasputin: personally I don't play FBWGG so you're way off the mark there and I have no difficulties finding other matches. That said I'm on 360 so I suppose its possible that this is actually a problem on ps3 or pc. I also don't doubt that even on 360 the majority of games are FBWGG but there's still several that aren't and its easy to find one.

I always host my own rooms and between friends and randoms never have a problem running Reapers, Cerberus, or Geth on random maps. People who are looking for farming runs just leave and we keep whoever looks competent.

If you take away the ability to farm FBW then people will figure out what many already know, there are other maps that are much easier and faster. There is no way to stop people from finding out effective strategies to win and you shouldn't want to anyway. What if Bioware decided to look at heat maps and make all the good spots to hold your ground impossible with random enemy spawns? You can't have it both ways.

The decoy helps but its not even needed with a halfway decent team, it actually goes much faster without one. Also the reason why people use firebase white is because it was a demo map so they are much more familiar with it. You can do this exact same thing on EVERY map in the game.

farming is nothing new, it's been around video games for a long time. back to wow, and everquest before that, and the various jrpgs before that, et cetera. it's hardly cancer, it's *practice*.

if anything is me3 mp cancer, it's the putrid unlock system.

Not sure if cross posting or deliberately not reading other peoples responses, but to cap it all...

- I want to play Geth too
- Hosting matches can take forever to fill up
- I might have poor connection
- 9/10 people who join will quite anyway because they only want to farm
- 1 idiot out of 30 will join your game without checking settings and play, only to quit in first round when they see it is not their precious farming map
- This is not a solution to the problem that is FBW farming. This is only something that we as individuals can do to get around the problem.

And to wrap it all up, not to be elitist or anything, but when you finally do get a Gold match going, well, people are bad at this game or simply not Gold ready. You could easily lose early on for no or little reward then the whole process begins again.

The only real option is to find friends to play the game with, which is stupid because I am pretty sure Bioware didn't intend on making this game's highest difficulty only viable with a big friendslist.

This. On gold I play on any map against any enemy with any team mates*. If I see FBWGG I ready up. I know I can win on other maps but if someone feels like a free 70k credits, fine.

*I don't play with elitists. I queued up for a gold today. I have <200 N7 (for the time being) but rarely get kicked because I enter as an AA with 'fex IX or Gethfiltrator with BW II. Anyway, I joined with the adept and there were two guys 400+ N7. Salarian Engineer and I believe Salarian Infiltrator, setup was FBWGG. I think one was actually using an Incisor, but whatever.

Our 4th random joins and it was an N7 52 level 18 Batarian Soldier. Everyone readies up. Then the host notices what our 4th actually was, unreadies, and votes to kick. I soon see another red x by this guy's name. I sit there ready hoping they'll just play. I realise it means they are just god awful if they can't win FBWGG with 3 people (if this guy turns out to be useless) but I stick it out anyway. Eventually one of the elitists quits. Lols for all.

LOL! You do know that hosting games takes FOREVER to fill a lobby, right? So that's out. And guess what, some people don't want to pick their map/opponent! They truly want to play something random/unexpected - map AND enemy. Being thrown into something unexpected is part of the challenge, and challenges are what people who are playing gold seriously are looking for, unlike worthless farmers.

And under your "solution" a guy will never play geth because the only games you'll ever be able to find/play of them are on FB:W.
