Wow! You're telepath, you read all my thoughts before I write them! I will ask second time, if you missed the first: How to shorten waiting time(up to 30 mins) and how to lure people to the game that is not FB W/G/G when hosting.
Let me guess, you're farmer, that's why you're so defensive about your favourite setup and that's why you started personal attacks.

And to wrap it all up, not to be elitist or anything, but when you finally do get a Gold match going, well, people are bad at this game or simply not Gold ready. You could easily lose early on for no or little reward then the whole process begins again.

The only real option is to find friends to play the game with, which is stupid because I am pretty sure Bioware didn't intend on making this game's highest difficulty only viable with a big friendslist.

- Not all geth matches are Firebase White.
- Then wait.
- Invest in a new one or have a friend host.
- Again, wait. 
- This happens in Silver and Bronze too. People quit out all the time and you just have to deal with it. Suck it up.
- By my understanding this isn't a problem. Poor map and AI design maybe, but i's only a 'problem' because people aren't playing the game the way you want them too.

Wow. You all seem so butthurt. As a player that has dedicated myself to this game, I can genuinely say that you ****ing about this helps no one.

Further more, please remember, that for much lower players (IE, N7 <100), A gold game with their equipment levels is going to be near impossible regardless. Have a heart and stop thinking about yourself. I've pulled many a new player through gold and taken the most rediculous builds I've ever seen into Gold, just to help them out. (IE Striker 1 on a level 7 Soldier.)

You suddenly expect so many players to suddenly get amazing equipment, weapons, characters and what not so that they can take part in an event that requests you do heavy damage quickly and consistently?

Seriously. Get over yourselves. You're all getting up your own arses over a game. This is pathetic.

If you want to do something else than 90% of people you will always have it harder to find company. There is no real workaround for it, Bioware can't really send police to FBW farmers and force them to play other maps. Want a real random - randomize yourself a map and enemy with RNG and set them in search filter... also how unexpected it can be with 3 types of enemy and like 7 maps? It is up to you to pick equipment before deciding what to play, so no difference.

I dont know, I dont have that problem.
Everytime I host unkown/unkown the lobby fills up pretty fast, and usually with pretty good players to!

If you for some reason have issues hosting, then search and excluce FBWG!

And no, I am not a farmer, I did play FBW G quite a bit before the DLC came out to have credits ready.

I occasionally play like that to either warm up, to try out new builds or to take a breather inbetween hectic random map reaper games.
Or to help out a friend.

I dont really get farming being SO common, you play the game to get more credits to buy guns so that you can play the game better to farm more effectivly, or what?
I dont get it, I like to play for fun and I dont find farming fun for very long.

But, if others do, why should I care?

This really comes down to "I want to somehow quantify that I am better than everyone else, and since my score doesn't do it I need to have better guns."

If you really care about someones load out on a co-op only game you got issues beyond the game itself. I'm only missing the top 5 levels of the black weapons yet I never use them. Guess what I think when I see a BW VII in the lobby... cool he will be able to kill stuff quickly for us. Guess what I think when I don't get high score.. cool I got a good team and didn't have to play at my highest level. No matter what you say, do, or obtain there will ALWAYS be somebody better than you even if its only for a few matches. If you want to be #1 in the world go play a competitive game and go Pro, just be warned its not as fun as it sounds.

If you still can't use the search function, host your own room, or stop crying about what others do nobody can help you. Get over it.

Well I just quickly found a geth game that isn't FBW(reactor) so this isn't a valid complaint(at least not on 360). The only complaint I've seen that's actually valid is that finding a unknown/unknown game is difficult and it still would be even if FBW wasn't being farmed since even if there was an equal chance of getting that it would still only be 1/24. The solution to that is changing the search mechanism and has nothing to do with FBW farming.

The store system is crap, this is something we can all agree on, and we can all also agree that farming is an acceptable strategy.

The only thing I and others are asking for is for there to be a balance between farming matches and normal matches as many of us actually do wish to play the game as it was intended on it's highest difficulty. We don't care if people farm or not, we just want to be able to find games OTHER than farming matches as well.

I don't understand why you farmers are so defensive about this either. This benefits you as well, should you one day get bored of farming after doing it for hours straight, feel like attempting Gold or just want a challenge for once.

Has nobody here ever played an RPG before? Almost all games of that Genre make you grind it out for the good stuff. If you are smart you find the most efficient way to do that, and you go until your eyes bleed. Somehow being a shooter makes this different?

Yeah. see the red. I have a 40 MB connection, so I know it's not that.  I can set up a room and it will take sometimes 15 minutes to get one person in it. I give up. I'll just join a game. So if I want to make some money quick it's FBW/G/G eh? I've just been playing random for fun, and having a blast with a geth engineer. I've done my share of agriculture in MMOs. I don't want to start doing that here. Just to grab a quick spectre pack once in a while. CYA on random silver.

Since I can you know, host my own game or search for games on other maps I have no problem, and I don't see yours!

Also hosting doesn't take 15 minutes, although you might spend 15 minutes kicking out Asari Adepts with Claymore/Widow combos.

Why not just hook up with like minded people on here and build a friends list, its more fun that way anyways.

Let me reiterate: people playing Gold who aren't worthless farmers are doing it for the challenge. The challenge is what makes it fun. Part of the fun is not knowing who you face and where you go. The fact I have to specify anything to actually get to play a match conventionally just proves that there is a problem here.

I tried searching for geth on a specified map, it leaves you waiting a loooong time. I've yet to do it and find a match.

And if that is not enough for you, play with friends.

There's no entitlement/egoism in calling on gamers to quit gaming-the-system so the rest of us can play a game conventionally (... there's that word again!). Farmers are being very disrespectful and selfish by doing what they do. If they are unaware of it, well, then they should be told to stop as people are doing now.

As for farming.... A friend showed me a while back a farming spot on FB Glaciar that was really fun and actually required skill to beat, not to mention was beatable in 18-20 minutes, much quicker than FBW.

On the upper floor there is a

shaped area in the corner against the glass and door that you can camp. There is enough space for all 4 players to stay in, enemies come from both sides, there is lots of grabbing, and is actually quite hectic and fun as you get really up close to the enemy.

I would have thought the spot would have become more popular by now but it hasn't to my surprise.
