This build actually sounds pretty awesome. I tried the Falcon once and couldn't stand it but I'm ready to give it another shot, so anyone got any tips on usage for a Falcon noob, ie aiming for the enemy or at their feet and so on?

My Falcon's at X now just like every other Gold weapon there is (whereas my N7's are almost non-existent past I; thanks so much redundant, useless character cards!) so I should be able to replicate the success.

Try the Striker instead. It's fun!

Edit: Unlike the Falcon, the Striker can go full auto. Imo: Always go full auto with the Striker. ALWAYS... until whatever is standing in front of you ain't standin' no more.

To the people asking for videos, I've recorded some footage of me soloing gold with it, I'll render a video of some of the later rounds overnight and upload it tomorrow.

My Striker's X too so whatever the consensus is on the better gun to use for the build, I'll go with that.

Id say the falcon is a ton better, that's my opinion though. Mostly because it always staggers and has a larger aoe and more damage.

Was just playing around with this for a few matches, I foresee a proximity mine nerf in the near future. Thanks for sharing snorlax. I still dont have high lvl weapons and it still working, I'm assuming with the higher damage and faster recharge from the lvl X weapons that it can only get better. The only issue i have is that sometimes the proximity mines stick to unintended objects if you try to shoot one through a tight space.

Thanks, man. Sounds compelling enough to me. Aim for them or their feet with the Falcon?

Aim for their feet, unless they are far away and you're trying to hit a tricky shot. Actually aiming 1 meter in front of them is ideal, don't literally aim at their feet.

Well I'm only 16 on my Infiltrators right now so I just went for a Bronze solo run so as not to over-frustrate myself and give up on a build I think has so much potential. Pretty much breezed through it and really loving the build. Very unique and not as douchebaggy as the melee build lol.

Can't wait to hit 20 and really test out the waters. Thanks for the idea.

PS any other classes anyone thinks would make an awesome grenadier? The damage output on a Geth Engineer would be far less but my oh my the amour of Tech Bursts would be staggering. Still, I can't really theorycraft on any that would even come close to this one.

Great build, using it at the moment, an awesome way to get use out of consumables.
How viable is it without ammo powers?

After trying it a bit more I can say it's an extremely strong setup on all difficulties, on silver it's just overkill as maxed proxy mine can easily kill 3-4 troopers at a time out of cloak there :P The last 3 games I played on gold I scored over 150k points all games. Teammates were not the greatest, but still, the damage you can deal is very high, you can also play very agressive as you have wallhack + infinite staggering ability. I'm making a video now so you can see for yourself when I get it up :P

As for other grenadiers, the falcon is really great on the geth engineer(hunter mode rof and damage boosts), especially combined with indendiary or disruptor ammo. It works very well on the salarian engineer and turian sentinel too, makes them all great for crowd control. Turian soldier with a falcon can also be very good.

Perhaps my favorite besides the geth infiltrator is the drell adept though. With a falcon, some ammo powers, area reave and cluster grenades specced for radius and shrapnel you can do insane AOE burst damage, probably the highest aoe burst damage of any class in the game. I was playing the falcon GI yesterday with a friend who was playing the drell with a falcon and area reave + area cluster nades. Let's just say that when we found the enemy spawn they would all go flying in a matter of 2 seconds and we'd get killstreaks without even using rockets on gold.

I
haven't tried it without ammo powers but it would probably work fine,
it's not like I actually get a lot of fire explosions/tech bursts with
it, I just get them every now and then so those are more of a bonus.

I
use ammo powers more because they add damage really. If you were only
using a rail amp that would probably work just fine. I've used it with
only incendiary ammo 1 in gold and that works just fine. I wouldn't
really use the falcon without a rail amp or ammo powers on gold though
as it's not that strong by default, but if you have it at level X I
guess you could get away with it as long as you have the the extended
barrel and the racial tree damage boosts.
I have a bunch of AR rail amps and ammo mods laying around so I might as well use them hence I haven't tried without.

Just wanted to say that I love this build.  I think you should call it the Mobile Artillery Platform though.

I spent most of this evening running around with a build based on this and absolutely loved it. Found that I favored the Striker over the Falcon, even though my Striker is lower level. I just seemed to be a better shot with it and get more consistent staggers, particularly on Phantoms. But that's probably more a reflection of my aim than anything. I also opted for additional power damage over RoF to boost the PM even more. Does RoF affect the Falcon that much?

The advantage of the Falcon is, that you can stagger enemies around a corner, on the other hand sometimes when I shoot at the same spot three times, I feel like the third bullet gets kind of lost.
Very weird, maybe I will use the Striker today.

I'm having a lot of fun with a variant of this build, spec'ed with full damage and damage taken on the proxy mine, similar 4/6/6/6/4 build.

However I use a GPS since the falcon is a bit weird and tough to aim with properly, and the GPS is a very versatile weapon that works well with the GI.

I really only like to play him on silver as he's a bit too squishy for gold (or requires too much carefulness and not enough recklessness), and it's just the right balance of running around like an idiot to survivability ratio on silver games. :)

Thanks for sharing the build OP!

This is a nice idea, my recent infiltrator left me somewhat unsatisfied because he mainly relies on sniping where I'm not too good at. Love the Proxymine with the Turian soldier.

Finally my infiltrator knows how it would if he was geth prime with a bit lower rate of fire

I use this tactic on my Turian soldier (don't have GI).
Even without the insane Geth damage boosts, it's a monster.

For the people curious about the Striker on GI

Run it with HM, Accuracy, Rate of Fire boost and max weapon damage.

Stability and Magazine size mods.

Warp/Arpen ammos/rail.

You will barely have to compensate for the recoil and a proxi-mine + full auto will eat 80% of a gold atlas shield/health on average.

When you are fighting infantry, just shoot at their feet and blow them up good.

I've been using something similar, only I spam proxies closer to every 2 seconds. I think I went radius and recharge instead of damage/damage. the stagger over 6m every 2 seconds is more useful to me than the extra damage. You can't quite stunlock with it, but it's close. You can also hit just about everything since proxies can hit enemies in cover too, either by throwing it on ground next to them, or firing it right at the cover and it will blow through it. i've been carring a Mantis to keep the weight down, but I really only use it on bosses and other high priority targets.

I've got to say it makes me really happy to see the Falcon used in such a clever way.

The last time I used that weapon was for an endless stagger effect of Falcon and Concussive shot on a Turian, but the GG may now become my main build for this weapon. Though I may also try this on a turian to see if I can get a more survivable character.

Till then, I'm really happy you made this and look forward to your up comming video.

And people ask for no nerfs in a coop game. Thats exactly why some classes needs some balance. If that isnt balanced everyone will do that.
