Which is the problem with human beings.  We're never satisfied.

Personally, I'd give Bioware props for fixing something that they really were under no obligation to fix.  If it sucks, I'll be disappointed, but if it is awesome, I'll be willing to forget that it wasn't there all along.

That would be nice. If you hope for it to be awesome you're probably going to find some way to be disappointed with it, so its best to be skeptical.

if it does end up being awesome, I will consider buying other things from them. I will wait until reviews from REAL people too, not BS "professional" reviews that seem to be a "good 'ole boy" cheerleading club for the devs. The one bridge they can never mend with me is the pre-order. Their deceptive marketing filled with BS and outright crap like the "you won't just get an ABC ending" have ruined it for them.

Despite minor quibbles, I honestly enjoyed myself through ~95% of the game. If EC rules and gives exposition to the endings, Bioware and Mass Effect would remain favorites in my book.

have to agree with this, also the ec does not repair all the condencending remarks about the consumer fanbase by both bioware and other news organizations (off the top of my head, ign)

the ec from what i have heard will not fix all the other problems that made the ending that much more unbearable

Will it rekindle BioWare's rep? It's been pretty damanged as of late. The ME3 endings and DA2 was kick to the quad, so do you really think that 30/40 min of hopefullly awesome new content would bring back BioWare from that hole it's dug it's self in?

Please, I want an opinion without bias. I know alot of people are still angry, and I understand that. BioWare hasn't been handling the whole thing as best as they could have. But this is something that interests me.

Two points.

1.  I actually liked DA2... it could have use a lot more time to differentiate the backgrounds, and maybe add a second healer (female qunari straight LI only... like how Sebastian is a straight only LI for female Hawkes), but overall, I liked it.

2.  If it is truly awesome, then it would be twenty minutes of suck towards the end (and the end of each act... I hate the dreams) of a game that would still need a patch or two to fix the bugs, but it would otherwise be an incredible game.

I am cautiously optimistic about the EC because Bioware has lied in the past, so them saying, "We're not changing the ending,' could very well mean the exact opposite.  Plus, the price is right.

If EC is actually awesome... the forums will explode in rage. I expect to see comments similar (but not limited) to the following:

"See! In a couple of months Bioware did what they fail to do in more than couple of years!! If this is not prove that they are being lazy or taking us customers for idiots, I dont know what is!"

"Why isnt this in the game in the first place! You rush an incomplete product out the door hoping to get away with our money!!! This will be my last Bioware game!!"

"Sorry Bioware but this came too late. This only proves that you could have made an epic game IF you were less greedy and actually put some effort into the ending!"

IMO,I don't want ME to have the forth sequal because if so,what I have achieved may be ruined or the game became those sequals that nobody want(like IJ4,PoC4).If there will be a ME game without a number,it may be better.
