I hate this ending talk. Not because I think it is stupid infact infact I feel the complete opposite, but because all the other problems many are having with the game such as the Railroading, Lack of choice etc. are just completely overshadowed by the ending.
The thing is that they are different levels of problems, every game have flaws causing varying degrees of concern. If you game you learn to work around them if you like the game itself.
The ME3 ending isn't merely flawed and poorly crafted, (even though it's that too) the thing that cause the uproar is the total disregard for mass effect experience itself. If you aren't familiar with the mass effect universe you likely find it mediocre forgettable, If you have followed shepard's journey and the universe around him/her the ending is a mockery, further compounded by BW unwillingness to recognize it.
The same goes for the problems within the game. You have spent many hours playing as your Shepard and then all of a sudden it is no longer your Shepard but Bioware's Shepard through auto-dialogue and cut scenes which you no longer have control over, which is why many have concerns over the endings because you do not have control of how Shepard reacts. Yet this has been going on pretty much throughout the whole game.
