I don't know about anyone else, but I would really like some scar options for the PC in DA3. Currently if I want my character to have sort of a scarred look I choose the tattoo design that Grace has and make it more flesh-colored. I typically use this exclusively on my rogues.

* Light scars: through the lip, eyebrow
* Long scars: across the nose, cheek, forehead
* Scars extending into the hairline, if that's possible (hairline as in this pic of Shepard)

Currently, Grace's scar is the only one that is asymmetrical, which is the main reason I use it. Asymmetrical scars, in addition to some additional, non-Dalish, tattoo options would be nice.

[edit to add]
Btw, I want THE SAME options for male and female characters! Swords and knives don't care about your gender.

I agree. Scars should be included in the character customization. I mean the games are set in a time with swords and you have warriors and rogues running and jumping about with clear skin. WTF? You should see a lot of people with scars. Even Origins lacked this option and Mass Effect 1 is the only Bioware game that allowed us to put scars on the character which they removed in the sequels and replaced with the renegade scar system.

So I support an option to include scars. Not just light or long scars though but deep scars too and perhaps even scars which make one eye blind like this:

Also I hope they don't pull a Mass Effect 1 and make male and female scars different. If I want a hideous scar going across the face of one of my female characters then I shouldn't be stopped from doing such. Asides from scars, I hope we can create a character with Heterochromia iridum (one eye being a different colour from the other). Dragon's Dogma is the only game I can think of which includes this as an option.

Edit:

Perhaps you should turn this thread into a request thread for what people would like to see in DA3's CC. I also support a feature where you can edit height and weight and choose from different base bodies.

I mean if Bioware make the CC as deep as Dragon's Dogma CC then I couldn't give a damn if races never return because you'll be able to create very unique characters within the CC.

Ooh I saw that in some of the ME fanart and wondered about this.

Dammit, I knew I forgot to add something. Edited my original post.

I'm not too sure how model sizing would work with Dragon Age's cinematic system. In a recent thread, John Epler remarked about the just the size difference between the male and female Hawke...

Gender swap is usually not too big of a problem. The only time it does become an issue is when the PC is actually interacting with other characters, because the male and female models are slightly different sizes - so what looks good for one might end up with the other clipping horribly into whoever they're interacting with. Even when they're interacting with their own model - I had to do a -lot- of tweaking on the 'stung by a bee' scene in MoTA, because Female Hawke kept grabbing inside her own forearm.

There are, occasionally, camera issues that crop up - the female is slightly shorter than the male, so some shots can look a little strange, but we generally shoot with a long enough lens that it's not all that noticeable. It's not -zero- work, but it's not nearly as much work as a character who's a different height, or who needs significant dialogue changes.
