How do I make a poll on this by the way?

Well I promised myself that ME3 would be my last EA game, not because of Bioware but because of Origin. So they lost me as a customer anyway.

C right not, but go up to B if they make an interesting game. (I, for one, am not interested in DA:3)

I'm at "C" aswell, and doubt Extended Cut will change it. It would have to be absolutely spectacular retcon, which they said they're not doing.

D. I've bought a ton of Bioware games, but over the years Bioware has made it their mission to stop making quality games to try and appeal to the CoD crowd who prefer less thinking, talking, and RPG elements and more Pewpew instant gratification.

Even without considering the ending, C when it's already dirt-cheap, if I do buy.

Actually, I am on the fence right now. Bioware might have done a far better job on the "ending" thn most have given them credit for. Just go check out and see if you are still firmly at the above option D by the end.

I used to be A, now C.

I'm not expecting things to improve since the standard of Bioware's games have fallen somewhat, so I doubt the EC will be even remotely satisfactory and I expect DA3 to be a total trainwreck. I'm playing ME1 for the first time after getting a 360 and it's shocking to see how dumbed down the gameplay of ME2&3 is. In comparison, you can barely call them roleplaying games anymore, and DA2 can be thrown into that as well.

You do know that isn't Biowares doing, it was a bunch of fans that built up the theory and gathered a ton of evidence. It wasn't something Bioware added in. You also missed how Bioware has defended the current ending and starchild and that they aren't changing the ending just adding a bit more to it. IT would require far more than just abit more, especially since it wasn't planned in the first place. It's just an easy eay for Bioware to take a fan idea and to salvage their horrible ending.

A pre Mass Effect 3's release.
C after it.
Leaning towards D after seeing their embarrasing response. Will definately wall into the D category if the EC turns out to be truly awful.
Really hoping for that not to happen. Image IPB

I kinda disagree on that. There hardly is any RPG elements at all in Mass Effect, I actually think Mass Effect 2 and 3 vastly improved the gameplay issues that Mass Effect suffered from.

What makes Mass Effect superior though, when you dismiss gameplay issues, is that it feels bigger and more open.
But let's not kid ourselves here please, Mass Effect is just as linear as the rest of the series.

And Dragon Age 2 really wasn't that bad of a game, in terms of gameplay, I found the faster pace for more fun than the slow pace of Dragon Age: Origins, while it still retained the pause and let you plan ahead with traps, spells and what not. What did suck about Dragon Age 2 was the recycled maps and enemies jumping down from the roof (plus random spawning out of thin air).

Well, there is a lot at stake for Bioware at this point, and a wrong step could mean millions in lost future revenue for the company - even though it's EA that will reap the benefit of increased revenue. If they were smart, as they have not shown any sign to up to this point, they'd make a ending so GOOD (direct opposite of the current) that people will be talking about it for ages to come, and it being so good that we would want to play the game over and over again. Yeah, Casey, that would make us "hold on to our game for ever". But as of now, I'm not even able to launch any Mass Effect games.

Hmm, when I come to think of it, I wonder if the damage done is even possible to rectify. Bioware, Bioware... you'd better come up with something pretty epic to save your self from this, not just an added carriage of fail to the fail train that is already totally out of control.

Sad to say I’ve lost a lot of faith in Biowares since the acquisition. I mean, it’s clear that there’s still a great deal of talent at Bioware but I strongly suspect they are now developing titles with one arm tied behind their back. DA2 felt like a Beta and the ending to ME3 was nothing like as satisfying as first intended. It’s a real shame, but Bioware are plummeting down my list of most beloved developers and I can’t see myself supporting their games as I once did. Hopefully hard lessons have been learned and Bioware are given enough time and money to make the games they want going forwards. Fingers firmly crossd.

No, ME was more open than ME2 and ME3 combined. That's a fact that cannot be disputed or so calliously spoken down upon. All the other games got over ME was the gameplay, they stripped out everything else that made ME great and ME3 is just the end result of taking out everything that was good, but at least it plays more like a shooter now!

DA2 was a bad game, and just like ME3 they failed to deliever on any of their promises. Bioware has has made their intent clear since EA bought them, rush out as much lower quality games as possible for higher profit margins. What they didn't intend is for ME and DA fans to call them out on their endless lies and not being content with getting far less content and paying more for said lesser content.

B. If my friends and reviewers say the game is good, I'll give it a shot.

Used to be A/A+, now it's about a C, maybe C+ if I become rather interested in a future game. Bioware games take a lot of emotional investment so I'll wait until their future games are on discount before I let them ignore that investment again.

if you make a pool make an E option: only buying the games used after good reviews from friends so that EA/Bioware don't get our money

Somewhere between A and B.

Basically same as before. I've never been one to automatically buy games based on the company making them, I just go for what I think I'll enjoy playing.

For what it's worth I haven't lost faith in them creating good games in the future either so if they'll release something I'll be interested in I'll probably pick it up right away.

Currently at D.

I could be a B or C eventually.

I could have been an A.

I've played lots of games with cash shops...some of them I've spent thousands of dollars in (those days are past, I'm on a much stricter budget now, but I still spend).

Damn you BioWare, I want to have a reason to give you my money.  Give me a reason, please?

You know, before this whole thing I was an A bordering on an A+ (considered pre-ordering a GameStop edition along with my BestBuy CE). Now...

I'd say a C-/D+

I'm so baffled by what I experienced, the reaction by BioWare to the upset (the "this is our artistic vision and we won't change it"), and the almost seemingly sell-out reaction of gaming mags/reviewers to the enraged fans that I just can't even begin to figure out how to reconcile myself with BW. When the issue is so bad that Forbes writes not one, but two articles on the subject of a video game, it's just nightmarish. Even if the DLC turns out good, the damage is done. I, for one, think the IT is the best way to save the current ending and even if they went with it (which they won't) I still wouldn't be able to forget where it started. I don't even trust the reviews anymore. 75 perfect scores? Did they even play the game? How much (I wonder) did EA/BioWare pay them for those scores? Don't get me wrong, the game to the last was deserving, but a minimum of 2 points should be lost for endings that, if taken at face value, made no sense. I really don't think many, if any, other developers would have gotten away with this with reviewers. So how can I trust them now?

Ok, I'm ranting. Sorry. As stated, C-/D+
