Meh I still prefer my Concussive Shot spam Hornet build. Tech Bursts all day. Cc all day. And the Hornet still rapes with the right ammo power; no need for Marksman (though I do pop it against bosses). Not just Gold-viable, Gold-dominant.
Though, again, it does require the right team to really own.
Prox mine sets off explosions as well. Just gotta aim at the feet, light cover, walls, etc. Plus global 20% debuff.

I will say this though - the geth plasma SMG is better if you can get consistent headshots as it is so accurate you can get a major boost to your damage potential, and of course you dont have to run up close like with the Hurricane.

Hornet is rubbish IMO compared to the hurricane. I recommend popping the hurricane on a quarian infiltrator - 190% cooldown - and it EATS people. The cloak lets you get nice and close then you use that nice 90% damage boost to chew through anything. Reavers for example die super quick, stand behind one and let rip and it will be dead before it has chance to turn round (silver difficulty - I wouldnt run off into a bunch of them on gold no matter what gun I was using).

I don't have the Hurricane. I stated this in the guide. If I get it I will test it though.

By the way, could you perhaps reupload the Batarians Soldier Guide? The video is blocked in my country due to the soundtrack, but I really need to see it. A good batarian guide would be priceless to me. Please..?

In Germany? Blame GEMA, I am in Germany too and can't see my own video.

I currently have a Hornet IV and Tempest VII, but with the accuracy from Marksman Tempest's spray sounds like it may be more focus fired along with Turians passive stability.

How is the Tempest for this play style compared to the Hornet?

The Tempest is pretty decent overall, I have to say.

Then I tried heavy pistol path, works good against normal enemies but it's not great against bosses (viable though)... Unfortunately I don't have Talon, so I tried with a Paladin.
After respec I tried adding Concussive Shot. I wasn't a huge fan of this skill, but I have to admit it's useful. Just put 3 points in it: has a very fast cool down and the animation is similar to Throw. Very fast and makes curves to avoid obstacles. It staggers, so you can aim head better, and gives you time to escape if you are badly injured. Plus, it's a finisher against weak enemies.

I enjoy turian soldier so much and experimented a lot of builds. Revenant is actually good if you have it at decent level but you always have to be in cover. I raped a Geth Prime with Revenant+Marksman in few seconds, but you have to spec for headshot bonus damage and aim head.

Concussive Shot is very good against phantoms actually.

I know, but it doesn't have anywhere near the spamability or crowd control capabilities that Concussive Shot has. I've tried both kinds of builds and C-Shot is honestly broken. It's on like a second cooldown, stuns or knocks down enemies, and sets off Tech Bursts every second. No need to debuff already-dead enemies.
I'm sure there's videos online of C-Shot spam builds if you don't believe the hype.

Oh I have to say thanks with that Talon build (I use concussive shot instead of proxy mine)! I tried it with my lv 7 turian soldier and had been rocking it on silver cerberus
For the Talon build I think concussive shot is better.

I've been playing a similar Hornet build, but considernig Damage for the last Prox Mine evolution. It's about 200 and will still be really fast recharge.

Yeah, as I worried, the Hornet build didn't really work on 360. The sticks just don't allow for the right level of correction on the Hornet's kick. You definitely need the stability mod or scope, possibly both, to hit consistently at any distance outside of 5-10 meters. I only have a Hornet II, which I'm sure explains some of the so-so qualities, and some is certainly is due to me being far from an elite player, but I'd say sacrifice the heat sink for a stability mod on consoles.

Non-elite Xbox player here as well. I tried the hornet build and couldn't correct for the kick, only thing worse was the striker (how does anyone use that thing?). I'll give the Turian Soldier another shot with the GSMG.
