Hurricane drinks ammo, could have been a Valiant drop from a commendation pack instead, is inaccurate as @#$%, and requires me to use up all of my better equipment to be decent.  It also insults my intelligence with its lies.

Still, that's a lot more than you get for, say, the N7 Eagle, which is just plain bad.

Tempest is a very good alternative to Hurricane. It does less dmg, but much more accurate and you hardly have to worry about ammo and very-very light (200% recharge)

Works geat with Con. Shot spamming and with MM too :)

what is this? all I see is a turian stability soldier using the EZ-mode Hornet who takes too long to kill things using max ammo powers running from ammo crate to ammo crate

Yeah, the Turian Soldier just isn't a top-of-the-line class.  It's not going to wreck things the way higher tier classes can.

Exactly, the problem with making vids like these is that it does a disservice to the class and to people wanting to play these classes. Also, you may want to selectively edit the part that takes 5 minutes to kill an atlas

why would anyone choose a class that takes longer in gold? by the time you get to the second burst with the hornet, things are dead. for bigger enemies, there are higher DPS, higher survivability classes that don't need to run to ammo crates.

you shouldn't need to use consumables just to make a class viable.

then again, this is the same guy who made a "Chargless Krogan Vanguard" build thread.

ps - fix krogan vanguard bloodrage

ok, thanx for the info, Any link to tests, perhaps?

Get in a game, fire the Hurricane, look at the number of bullet holes.  There will be just one.

For the record, at  least subjectively the Hornet with heat sink seemds pretty ammo conservative.

Went and played few rounds with both, Hornet feels much more damage-rewarding, not even mentioning the kickback

Thanks for the guide. Dammit... Only one Respec card left. =/

Promote. I can usually get my class back to lvl 20 in about 3 bronze games, and 2-4 silver (depends on how good your squad mates are, if they suck you get more points).

Very true.  Actually a quick math check shows that a Human Soldier with AR weapon damage spec does the same DPS as a Turian Soldier with Marksman Rate of Fire spec.  The important thing is that Turian Soldiers burn through about 70% more ammo for the same damage.

I don't feel stability is that big a plus, and neither is the accuracy.  My Geth Infiltrator with Hunter Mode and Tactical Cloak will kill things faster with a Revenant than the stupid waste of ammo known as the Turian Soldier.  Plus I don't have to run to ammo boxes as often.

A quick check on the Mass Effect wiki reveals that Marksman will not shrink the spread circle of a shotgun when activated, thus making headshots more difficult despite the increased accuracy.  Sniping with a shotgun is fruitless given that an Infiltrator can do the same thing and better with sniper rifles.  Actually given the +90% damage boost of TC, Infiltrators can do it better since missing the target more is made up by the extra damage.

Some people like a challenge and some people want to try different classes. If you want to play invincible classes, feel free to do so. I speced back to the Invincible charging Krogan again and you basically cannot die, unless you are stupid. How is that fun? The Turian Soldier is viable. It is not invincible and does not have Stasis spam, so in your opinion it is not viable.

Actually, marksman does shrink the circle of a pellet based weapon (shotgun or Talon).  Grab the talon, and shoot it at the wall, than activate marksman and do it again.   With a scope + marksman, it looks like a single bullet hole because it attains 100 % accuracy.  It literally puts every pellet in the exact same spot.

Yes, I can kill stuff faster with my GI, but sometimes I dont always want to play the exact same character every time.  That would boring pretty fast.  Turian soldier is still very viable.

Why is using max ammo powers (or any other equipment) is a problem on gold?? I mean, you wanna save them for what else, if not gold runs?

Because it's unsustainable.  You cannot replinish the equipment as fast as you can use it up, therefore you cannot have full equipment every run.

The only equipment required for TS hurricane is stability mod. I think everyone got tons of that consumable piling up.

Ok - went on and recorded a video with the turian soldier built for maximum accuracy // stability (35% bonus rof on marksman) ... Used SMG Extended Magazine V & extended barrel on hurricane I ...

With marksman up I start firing at a wall at 00:56 of the video ...
At 01:16 the character yells "Auto of ammo" ..

20 seconds !!!

This is why you should use heatsink mod, not extended mag. Heatsink mod doubles your clipsize AND max ammo.

tested with heatsink mod .. 0.37 to 1.12 (35 seconds to empty all clips) which - while better is still absurdly low and contains two extra reloads due to the lower clip size ...

I'm currently at a loss why would I need Marksman at all - I just spam proxy mines all the time, and shooting from cover provides enough stability, at least with Hornet.

Which is why I prefer the Talon build.

Turian soldier is pretty good even on gold at first i didnt think so but then i tried it and it actually works. TS + Revenant VI w/EB and MU + AP II + AM II = Tis gud.

I got the stop score on FBG/C/G i manage to top a GI with a claymore IX (it was close), a QI with black widow (forgot the lvl) and a SE (forgot wep) and yes they knew what they were doing.

I also used him on both the geth and reapers(gold ofc) got the stop score again but didnt win the games. On the geth we made it to round 9 (just me and a GE we had other players too but they were turain sentinel 12 and DA 10 and they rage quit after round 3 and 6 when we couldnt revive them :/). In the reaper game we were all lvl 20 BS,GE and GI and made it to round 8 but then half the team went afk and by the time i noticed it a banshee already killed me thinking someone had my back :/)

Any perks other than giving precision at long range?
