Still, that's a lot more than you get for, say, the N7 Eagle, which is just plain bad.

Hurricane drinks ammo, could have been a Valiant drop from a commendation pack instead, is inaccurate as @#$%, and requires me to use up all of my better equipment to be decent. It also insults my intelligence with its lies.

Easily my #1 most desired fix. That **** is inexcusable.
Went and played few rounds with both, Hornet feels much more damage-rewarding, not even mentioning the kickbackStardusk wrote...

ok, thanx for the info, Any link to tests, perhaps?
Get in a game, fire the Hurricane, look at the number of bullet holes. There will be just one.
For the record, at least subjectively the Hornet with heat sink seemds pretty ammo conservative.

Thanks for the guide. Dammit... Only one Respec card left. =/
Very true. Actually a quick math check shows that a Human Soldier with AR weapon damage spec does the same DPS as a Turian Soldier with Marksman Rate of Fire spec. The important thing is that Turian Soldiers burn through about 70% more ammo for the same damage.GodlessPaladin wrote...
Yeah, the Turian Soldier just isn't a top-of-the-line class. It's not going to wreck things the way higher tier classes can.
suprarj wrote...
Exactly, the problem with making vids like these is that it does a disservice to the class and to people wanting to play these classes. Also, you may want to selectively edit the part that takes 5 minutes to kill an atlas
why would anyone choose a class that takes longer in gold? by the time you get to the second burst with the hornet, things are dead. for bigger enemies, there are higher DPS, higher survivability classes that don't need to run to ammo crates.
you shouldn't need to use consumables just to make a class viable.
then again, this is the same guy who made a "Chargless Krogan Vanguard" build thread.

A quick check on the Mass Effect wiki reveals that Marksman will not shrink the spread circle of a shotgun when activated, thus making headshots more difficult despite the increased accuracy. Sniping with a shotgun is fruitless given that an Infiltrator can do the same thing and better with sniper rifles. Actually given the +90% damage boost of TC, Infiltrators can do it better since missing the target more is made up by the extra damage.

Why is using max ammo powers (or any other equipment) is a problem on gold?? I mean, you wanna save them for what else, if not gold runs?

The only equipment required for TS hurricane is stability mod. I think everyone got tons of that consumable piling up.

This is why you should use heatsink mod, not extended mag. Heatsink mod doubles your clipsize AND max ammo.

I'm currently at a loss why would I need Marksman at all - I just spam proxy mines all the time, and shooting from cover provides enough stability, at least with Hornet.
Any perks other than giving precision at long range?Stardusk wrote...

Which is why I prefer the Talon build.
