If we get any kind of exploration vehicle, i'd like the Mako. As a PS3 user i've never had the chance to drive it.

I sure as hell hope not. I hate the Hammerhead.

You piloted the better vehicle. The Mako sucked royally.
My only issue with the Hammerhead was how flimsy its armour was. Wish they'd have let you upgrade it.
A Mako/Hammerhead hybrid (with customizable options) would be great.
I also miss random sidequests. Like in ME2 there were a few planets that, when you scanned them, actually led you to a non-plot centric sidequest. Made the world seem bigger and actually encouraged me to scan more (though sadly they were few and far between).

Ya it was light on armour but it was properly explained why so it makes sense in game.
I did like the Mako to a point, however there were some planets where the Mako was more a hinderence than a help due to the vehicles physics and od bounces when it hit terrain at certain angles.

1) I agree 100% (although I didn´t find the Mako thaaaaat terrible ^^)
2) I agree to the kind of the missions, but they´d have to be plot-related, since there´d be no other reason to stay around and do random things while Earth is burning...

But at least the Mako made an appearance, so not all was lost.

Having both played all the Mass Effect games on both Xbox 360 and PS3, you should consider yourself lucky because control wise the Mako sucks and while the Hammerhead's armor sucks (I played it once on casual and a single lowly geth trooper blew the damn thing up with one shot) control wise it's vastly superior than "the drunk rhino" as Cortez calls it.

Could've been interesting to have certain vehicles designed to perform in certain terrain like volcanic planets or aquatic ones and so on.

Please no. The hammerhead is terrible with all the armor of a wet tissue. I thought I hated the Mako, that is until I drove the Hammerhead.

I truly wish they would. I pray for this to the gaming gods every day. Or have the gaming gods been consumed by -censored-?

Armor values could be fixed in a jiffy, dude. The mako, however, would need a rehaul to fix its handling issues.spiriticon wrote...

In the most recent Game Informer (issue 204), there is an interview with Casey Hudson. He says "we've been working on a new vehicle that will appear in future DLC and potentially Mass Effect 3". It is reasonable to assume this is referring to the Hammerhead or is this speculation?

Ultimately, Mass Effect 3 did not get any vehicle segments and i think it should but the question is where can the new vehicle fit in the Normandy when 2 shuttles are occupying the bay in ME3?

Well Casey Hudson had previously indicated that the vehicle exploration segment of the Mass Effect 2 DLC pack Overlord was an attempt at addressing issues players had with the exploration segments in the original Mass Effect, and lessons learned from its implementation could be used to implement similar segments in Mass Effect 3.

hit and run tatics you can't compare the mako to the hammerhead because the mako is basically the tank while the hammerhead is more recon/hit and run. missions were to boxy for the hammerhead to do what it was meant to do.
it shined in overlord though but wasn't much to shoot at...
