In the most recent Game Informer (issue 204), there is an interview with Casey Hudson. He says "we've been working on a new vehicle that will appear in future DLC and potentially Mass Effect 3". It is reasonable to assume this is referring to the Hammerhead or is this speculation?

I sure as hell hope not. I hate the Hammerhead.

If we get any kind of exploration vehicle, i'd like the Mako. As a PS3 user i've never had the chance to drive it.

They said "new vehice", then of course it ain't Paper plane (Hammerhead) or the dead rhino (Mako)

You piloted the better vehicle.  The Mako sucked royally.

My only issue with the Hammerhead was how flimsy its armour was.  Wish they'd have let you upgrade it.

A Mako/Hammerhead hybrid (with customizable options) would be great.

I also miss random sidequests.  Like in ME2 there were a few planets that, when you scanned them, actually led you to a non-plot centric sidequest.  Made the world seem bigger and actually encouraged me to scan more (though sadly they were few and far between).

I liked the Hammerhead, great maneuverablility and was fun performing jumps and finding shortcuts in missions or finding good angles to fire at without receiving damage.

Ya it was light on armour but it was properly explained why so it makes sense in game.

I did like the Mako to a point, however there were some planets where the Mako was more a hinderence than a help due to the vehicles physics and od bounces when it hit terrain at certain angles.

Could you give scan or a photo?. I miss vehicles. The mako was a nightmare and made me rage more times than any other game. The hammerhead, though very weak, was fun to play with at least

1) I agree 100% (although I didn´t find the Mako thaaaaat terrible ^^)
2) I agree to the kind of the missions, but they´d have to be plot-related, since there´d be no other reason to stay around and do random things while Earth is burning...

The M44 should have been in the game, since we saw it in that amazing, dramatic trailer. But like most stuff that should have been there, it was either cut or didn't make it. I'm also of the opinion that the Grizzly should have made the cut as well, since the Alliance still uses them.

But at least the Mako made an appearance, so not all was lost.

I much preferred the Mako, I would rather it come back than the Hammerhead.

If the Hammerhead had better armor, a secondary machine gun, and could be used to explore uncharted planets alaME1, it would be perfect.

Do it Bioware, DO IT! Please bring back exploration!

Having both played all the Mass Effect games on both Xbox 360 and PS3, you should consider yourself lucky because control wise the Mako sucks and while the Hammerhead's armor sucks (I played it once on casual and a single lowly geth trooper blew the damn thing up with one shot) control wise it's vastly superior than "the drunk rhino" as Cortez calls it.

It'd be nice if they could implement a greater variety of vehicles, but understandable considering the issues surrounding the Mako & Hammerhead.
Could've been interesting to have certain vehicles designed to perform in certain terrain like volcanic planets or aquatic ones and so on.

Please no. The hammerhead is terrible with all the armor of a wet tissue. I thought I hated the Mako, that is until I drove the Hammerhead.

Bring back the Mako anyday.

I truly wish they would. I pray for this to the gaming gods every day. Or have the gaming gods been consumed by -censored-?

Armor values could be fixed in a jiffy, dude. The mako, however, would need a rehaul to fix its handling issues.

Well Casey Hudson had previously indicated that the vehicle exploration segment of the Mass Effect 2 DLC packs Overlord  and Firewalker was an attempt at addressing issues players had with the exploration segments in the original Mass Effect, and lessons learned from its implementation could be used to implement similar segments in Mass Effect 3.

Ultimately, Mass Effect 3 did not get any vehicle segments and i think it should but the question is where can the new vehicle fit in the Normandy when 2 shuttles are occupying the bay in ME3?

I hope so, provided it brings ME1 sized exploration areas with Overlord DLC quality. The armor would need to be sorted out but otherwise...  I want my jump-jet tank <3

i like both the mako and the hammerhead idk why you all can't too? i view the mako as a in the back fire support as the hammerheads rush in take out as many things as they can or just recon.

hit and run tatics you can't compare the mako to the hammerhead because the mako is basically the tank while the hammerhead is more recon/hit and run. missions were to boxy for the hammerhead to do what it was meant to do.

it shined in overlord though but wasn't much to shoot at...
