I like the endings. Now let's see if we can get through this forum without me being told how my children are going to die, I'm the next Hitler, and you're all going to come to my house and burn me alive. (The point to this forum is that while people who disliked the endings say they feel alienated, what they don't realize is that they themselves are committing the exact same crime by trying to bully people who do like the ending.)

Its a double standard really. I get called whiney and entitled just for suggesting that I dont like the ending. Problem is people are a bit to willing to be dismissive of opinions that are different from their own. That been said theres still plenty of people willing to discuss ME, it just takes a bit of a bull**** filter.

Stop using terms like 'sides'. This isn't a war. The hell is wrong with you people.

Hitler ultimately lost the war.

So you're basically admitting that the anti-ending side will win the argument. :wizard:

OP creates thread to state that he has lost respect for community......OP does so by provoking argument via sterotyping entire community into two groups. OP excercises same behavior as group he has lost respect for. OP is now part of the problem instead of the solution. OP loses.

This post serves no purpose. Why not just leave if you don't feel like visiting it? No one is forcing you to do that and no one is forcing you to agree with the majority but guess what? You don't need to provoke anyone! Just disagree and go about your day!

I do apologize for this. I'm just very weary of having to defend my love for the series. People just assume that because I liked the endings I must be a COD player who's never played ME before. It's extremely heartbreaking.

We burn COD players at the stake.

^ OP, don't make a thread which provokes the problem... to try and solve the problem. It's stupid whether or not you liked the ending.

If you liked it, please provide an explanation. So far, no one has...and I'm genuinely curious...because I hated the ending and can explain why.

The moment you use blanket generalizations about all people who hate the ending is the moment you lose any respect from me. There's actually a vast amount of people who hate the ending who would simply shrug if you told them you hate the ending, myself included. Getting vitriolic about it and insulting everyone makes you as bad as the ones who do insult other people in their posts, which isn't as common as you think.

I'd have to find the post, but one of the Dragon Age guys commented a week or so back implying that pro-enders are capable of the same troll behavior.

This isn't a war between fans, nor should it be one. Some people like the ending, others hate it. It should really be that simple.

IMO the ending is mediocre, but I admit I thought it was fine before coming to the forums. there's way too much negativity here for a game like ME3.

Me, I'm still waiting for "anti-enders" to accept it's possible to be ambivalent about the endings. You can say the same of "pro-enders" too, but the "us versus them" sentiment at least in my opinion and experience is much stronger among the "anti-ender" camp.

As someone who's ambivalent about the endings, I find that sentiment utterly intolerable and outright refuse to engage anyone who won't treat my, or others', positions and opinions in accordance with the principle of charity, and respect.

That. That right there is truth. Undeniable truth.

Take a good long look around. The community has effectively been reduced to two groups. It isn't a stereotype, it's a sad truth.

So far, everyone has. I hope you can understand and appreciate that all those "explanations" are simply opinion, formed by a differing perspective.

It has sadly degenerated to that level of absurdity. And I agree, it should be that simple, but suggesting as much here will actually (in some instances) garner you the same aggression as if you called someone's momma a "ho".

This is just a case of people assuming (Assume makes an ass out of u and me). Just because the people that dislike the endings say that they dislike them because of the plot holes and poor storytelling, doesn't mean that the people that like the endings are morons that ignore plotholes and enjoy poor storytelling. Life isn't a boolean choice.

Caring what other people think = recipe for unhappiness. Give no fvcks, and you're good. It's not that hard.
