Me, I'm still waiting for "anti-enders" to accept it's possible to be ambivalent about the endings. You can say the same of "pro-enders" too, but the "us versus them" sentiment at least in my opinion and experience is much stronger among the "anti-ender" camp.

As someone who's ambivalent about the endings, I find that sentiment utterly intolerable and outright refuse to engage anyone who won't treat my, or others', positions and opinions in accordance with the principle of charity, and respect.

That is only due to numbers, in terms of a "stronger" us vs them, simply because there is more "us", imo.  I mean it isnt hard to find people who like the ending being hostile either.  Also, I dont think those who are ambivalent get hate, really, outside of the crazies.  The ones who mainly get hate are those who try to thow the ending as an intelectual stimulating event and that is the reason you dont like it.

There are some civil threads. They do tend to require you read walls of text and post thoughtful replies, but they are there. Seek them out, and avoid the less erudite places. That's what I do.

Compared to other communities, bioware's fanbase is a crew of gentlemen. Have you been to bethesda's forums? you cant give any of their games that isnt Morrowind a compliment without being digitally beaten to death by a swarm of angry fanboys

The closest I've come to losing respect for this community is from the current trend of posting something loosely implying it's about the story, but in fact being a bigot's soapbox. Though fortunately it's a minority, and hopefully the Mods will start reacting to these sooner.

I can't help but agree with others here and say I've never seen anyone really get abusive towards someone just because they liked the ending. I've seen people push their opinion perhaps a little more forcefully than some would like, but never heard of anyone say 'You like the ending, then you must be a ****', or threaten people's families. Said pushing of their own opinon comes from all sides anyway. As many people as I've seen push IT, I've seen threads denounce it. 
The quietest by far are the ones who simply don't like the ending and have since given up posting on the forums. But then that's not surprising.

As far as I know, very few people have been attacked for liking the endings. 

Most simply say 'I'm happy for you.  But I could never agree with you.'


The most I've seen done is some aggressive comments on back and forth arguments on the merits of the endings themselves. 

And if that's what you mean, well then, I'm not sure what to say.  Welcome to being an adult, not everyone is going to be nice while they argue with you.


Finally, why should I care what 1 random member of the forum thinks of me since he obviously dervied that opinion, not from personal interaction but from a generalization made by observing a few fringe elements?



In summary. 

Happy for you, can't ever agree with your opinion on the endings, and don't care what you think of me.

I try not to be aggressive against pro-enders. When they are being idiots, that's a different story.

Also @ your sig; There's a difference between a loyal fan and a compliant drone. If you really care about the game you won't just say "oh, there are flaws, but it doesn't matter you're the best!!!", you'll actually constructively recognize the flaws and give them suggestions on how to fix them.

everytime i saw someone posting he likes the ending there came things like:

Please go read more ending liker threads, they insult people's intelligence. Name calling in pretty much all of them. So I do not get wtf you complaining. If some ****** makes a new thread that says I like the ending because I do. Telling people just accept it Then he deserves the flame he gets.
Pro-ender camp? last I checked you had 632 people but had to keep throwing the word minority around like ****ing moron. Wft you talking about I do not think anyone has made death threarts or going to burn your house , your just talking crap and insulting people's intelligence.

I dislike them, and I have my reasons why. I don't hate you for disagreeing with me, but apparently that's what it's called these days when someone holds a differing opinion - hatred.

It's been a tad repetitive for the past 2 months. It's basically the same post rehashed a million times, mostly the "EC will suck", "Bioware lied", "Why I think the ending sucks" etc, etc. Naturally being started as a "new" post every 2-3 hours, which doesn't really add anything constructive or remotely useful.
