Tbh I missed that in my first (and only) playthrough. And I am glad I did. Not because I hate them being happy, but there is a reason I didn't romance Tali. Well, aside from Liara. Simply they could not have children. It would be better for them to romance someone ... matching. I don't know why they suddenly fall in love either. I mean there was never any tension or anything and suddenly for no reason ... bam. Blah bad writing etc rant. I really don't know why I bother with Bioware or this forum still. It just shows me again and again why I shouldn't be here or play their games at all.

I take it you didn't romance Miranda then, since she can't have children...

Well aren't you guys a couple of dicks.

Indeed. Also, I wish people would stop putting the "douchebag"label on Renegade.

Well, for ME1 and ME2, I'd agree, but with the exception of 3 or 4 awesome renegade interrupts, Renegade pretty much is douche for ME3.

Renegade Shepard was a much bigger douche in the first two games. Most of the stuff Shepard says in ME3 is autodialogue. Almost all of the autodialogue is either neutral or paragonish. Even the actualy renegade dialogue options we get are waaaay friendlier in this game. In the past games, we were able to treat out squadmates like crap. We can't do that in ME3. Yeah there are a few renegade options that can be consdered super extreme (ie-killing Mordin, or Samara's daughter) but they're pretty few in number. Overall, the ME3 renegade is a much more reasonable and less intimidating individual.

She never says anything to Shepard. You learn about it on the Shadow Broker terminal.

This hurts me.

This is just like Fenris and Isabella hooking up all over again? :V
(I actually didn't see them hook up in my game -- not sure if I missed a dialogue or something, but okay. I didn't care as seeing how my Hawke romanced Anders.)
Personally, doesn't bother me, my Shepard romanced Kaidan and was somewhat amused with Tali and Garrus hooking up considering Tali reminded him of her shotgun in ME2 when he was picking on her about her immune system while reminiscing about the elevator conversations.

I don't see why this should be a problem.

why not just ignore it and not go down there when tali's in the gun battery?

Its what I did on my adept Liara LI play through .. Worked fine for me.. I just won't **** block anyone lol

Is this what this is about? You didn't hook up with Garrus/Tali in one playthrough because you want to see how other LIs play out and now your jealous because an LI from a past game hooks up with someone else? Your pathetic. I would have loved to have seen Liara hook up with another squadmate if I didn't pick her.

Oh geez. Wow because that's the be all and end all of life. Having children. Why you aren't complete until you've popped out a kid or two. So if they can't then they shouldn't. Go away....just away.....

Yeah, that was a quite frankly weird post. Good job I'm single at the moment I suppose. I should never have had a girlfriend at all really because I haven't got kids and don't want them. It was clearly a terrible thing for me to have done to have a relationship.

....Why do you even want to stop them from being couple or care?

Because there is no reason for them to be a couple in the first place? The reason "well, they're both dextro" is absolute bullsh*t. They behaved far more like brother and sister (with him loving to annoy her) in previous games. Why don't Garrus and Ashley/Liara hook up? Or Tali and Kaidan? Would make about as much sense as TalixGarrus.

The main problem I have with either one of those characters hooking up with someone else is that they hook up with eachother. GarrusxDrMichel or TalixKal would've made more sense, for example, and would've been more fitting.

I would not care if I were renegade or paragon, that was one of the best things I'd seen in a game, in ME2 it was unrealistic that squad mates only took a romantic interest in Shepard, it was good to see this changed in ME3, Garrus my man, you be gentle with her, and watch that reach.

I feel bad for Garrus. Tali is just in it for the free Turian chocolate.

I figured it would be Feron. In LotSB she doesn't say "no", she just says "not right now."

I am pro-non-Shep-hookups. I approve of Tali+Garrus, Liara+Feron, Ken+Gabby, Joker+EDI (sort of... turning EDI into a sex robot was kind of weird, I thought).

What were you expecting, seeing Tali and Garrus become good mates first?, don't know about you, but people I've known(close friends) have surprised me with an announcement they were together.

Personally I'm happy for them when they do hook up. But alas I enjoy the Tali romance sub-plot in my playthroughs.

And why do you think you have the right to micromanage their lives to the point where only you can decide whether or not they're good enough friends to enter a relationship?

I'd like to introduce you to a concept called "free will", if thats what they want to do, then they can do it. They don't need your permission.

Who knows what Tali and Garrus talked about when I was off doing Shepard stuff? My reaction when I walked in on them was "awwwwwwwww!", and it still is.

I would've been fine with them getting together as long as they gave Shepard a few different reactions. They could've done it like DA2 where the autodialogue that Hawke says depends on his moral alignment. So if you're paragon, Shepard would still say "I'm happy for you". If you're mostly renegade then Shepard would've responded in a more renegadish way. Honestly, I have no idea what he would say but as a previous poster stated, "I'm happy for you" just sounds too paragonish.

My first reaction was sorrow. All this time, my femShep had been drowning the fact that she couldn't romance Tali in a romance with Liara. Then she walks in on Garrus, her best friend who must have known how she really felt, hooking up with Tali.

And all she could say was, "I'm happy for you."

Then I fell to my knees, raised a fist, and yelled, "GARRUUUSSS!!!"

I personally got the feeling that Tali didn't like Garrus too much or care for him in ME and ME2 so I thought it was kinda weird they had romance. I'm glad that people like the romance but I thought it was kind of tacked on. Not like it matters for me, all my femsheps romance Garrus and the two dudesheps I have either have Tali romanced or dead so I'll never get to see the romance anyway.

I romanced tali in mass effect 2 and went back with liara in ME3 so guarrus got my sloopy seconds.
I did find it interesting the way tali just moves on compared to Liara that can stay loyal after 2 years of death and me humping jack and tali...
