I am sick of of the Art Team designing an amazing looking weapon like the Valkyrie/Argus/etc, and then screwing it up by making it like 3 burst or single shot.

GIVE US MORE FULLY AUTO RIFLES SO I CAN DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKAKKAKAKKAKAKKAKAK

Posted ImageDAKKA DAKKA DAKKA!

Seriously though? Weapon DLC, I need more Fully Auto Human made Clunky rifles shooting constantly, and please make them sound more like BOOMS rather than the pew pew we have now. The Avenger and Phaeston is too synthetic.

Only good option is Revenant, but too heavy and cumbersome, need something with a bang, human made, and good feel.

The only balanced AR we have is the Vindicator which i've been using through ME2-3. Single shot rifles are not assault rifles. Also most of the AR's are way too heavy and just useless.

While I am a big fan of full-auto assault rifles too, I think the Avenger, Phaeston and Revenant pretty much cover all your "dakka" needs. Go with the Avenger if you want to have 200% recharge, the Revenant for high damage + large clip, and the Phaeston if you want something in between. Throw on a Damage + Ammo mod, and you can turn just about any of the three into a heavy machine gun.

But the sounds, only the Revenant sounds okay, the rest sound like pea shooters.

I thought DICE was helping with the Dakka.

DICE did help, which is why ME3 guns sound...off....

And I know of a few ARs which are single shot....so that doesn't bother me as much as the sound.

You know, Ghost Recon and other TPS have guns which can switch fire rates, like real life weaponry. Would be nice to just let a Mattock go off. Especially since it hurts my finger everytime I have to pull it, and it's useless damage against everything except Health.

I'd love to see a AR based on the old ME1 weapons that you could sometimes get modded to the point they never overheat, which just has continuous fire. It wouldn't have bad recoil, although it would have a tiny bit, and it wouldn't have particularly good accuracy, although it wouldn't be super terrible, it would weigh quite a bit though to make up for the fact that it has decent damage and never needs to reload, you can just constantly spam fire when not taking cover. They would explain that the massive size of the older style heat sinks made up for using the old style heat sinks despite having power like modern weapons that use exchangeable lithium based heat sinks. It has begun returning to popularity for much the same reasons as the Prothean beam AR, as supply lines have become damaged and disrupted by the Reaper war and it can sometimes be hard to get heat sinks.

I wish they had another variant of machine gun - maybe something like a compact version of a futurized mini gun :)

SMGs? Well, all the SMGs are trash because they use the Pistol Animations, which is lazy, why do the SMGs have foregrips and they still hold them like they're .22's? The Locust looks way too heavy to hold like that.

No not SMGs..  Another machine gun.  Something that looks robust and equally bulky if it needs to.  A mass effect version of a gatling or mini gun or smart gun

I would agree with this.  Weapons that have modular fire rates would be a welcome addition.

Tbh I do also miss some more impressive sounding weapons.

To me the shootiest gun in a shooter has to be the Lancer in Gears 3. Sounds right, feels right, sufficient dakka. Closely following the Lancer it's probably the assault rifle from Halo 1. Beyond that... no shooter really gives me what I want.

ME3 where's the real shooty guns? Come on.

I so badly want to see a minigun-esque weapon in this game, but I have feeling it'd just end up as something like this:

'Shepard, hostiles ahea-' *BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ*
*BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ*
*BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ*
*BZZZZZZZZZZ*
*BZZZ*

*BZZ*

'Hostiles clear!'

Sort of. Its a much better situation than it was back in ME2, where if you wanted a full-auto AR, you would have a choice of:

One assault rifle with rubbish DPS with a choice of three different skins
-OR-
A Machine Gun with big damage, big clip and big scatter.

Here we have an assault rifle, a dakka assault rifle, an accurate machine gun, a monster machine gun, and a 'ZOMG IM FIRIN MAH LAZ0R'.... laser. That's plenty for me.

That said, I hate three-round-burst weapons. I'd rather be the judge of how long I want my bursts to be, all ARs should be either full-auto with varying RoFs or semi-auto. If they want three-round-burst then they should implement selective fire.

As for SMGs... I'm going with the theory the majority of them were put in for nostalgia purposes. The only ones that are actually worth carrying are the new ones.

I want an assault rifle that isn't a glorified SMG.

Just to be picky, but I doubt the art team has NOTHING to do with the actual game mechanics of the guns (they may have a bit to do with the sound they make, however).
