Youtube - says it'll be a bit, but should be viewable in about an hour
(approx 01:30 EST) at: - it shows my inbaility to target the bit in the war room, even though I'm told I should be going there to talk to Hackett. This is a single example of many situations where I have encountered this problem.
I have a bizarre problem that is incrediably frustrating and ultimately has caused me to not really want to continue playing the game. I've tried reinstalling to no avail. I have issues targetting objects I am supposed to interact with. Strange things allow me to actually see an interactive object, but sometimes I can't interact with things at all.
For example, when trying to get through the last checkpoint with Moridin on Tuchanka, you kill some folks and then have to hit a button on a console to continue to the 'boss fight'. If I stand next to the console nothing shows up for me to interact with, however if I use space bar to duck, it will briefly show the targetting retina, but I'm unable to click it. After going through this for 3 waves and then 15-20 minutes I got lucky and when I was ducking somehow hit the retina, advacning me in the story.
Other times, it seems if I just wait long enough I'll be able to target things.
The part where it gets beyond bloody frustrating is on the Normady, I've never been able to target the vid comm bit to call back to Admiral Hackett. I figured I was just retarded and was in the wrong place, so when my brother came to town this weekend I asked him and he said "That's weird **** man, I dunno, it's the right place."
While it'd be more difficult to illustrate the problem I had on Tuchanka, I could in theory play again until it happens once more and then fraps it to demonstrate, but basically it wont' show retinas to interact with until I do something like a heavy melee or duck against an obstacle. If it'd be helpful, and possibly to prove I'm not totally retarded (Or, consequently, to prove that I am) I could easily FRAPS a bit of running about on the Normandy to show my inability to interact with the vid com.
Would love any help/advice, getting stupidly annoyed that I'm probably missing some mighty important stuff, since everytime I return the ship, I'm told that Admiral Hackett is waiting to have a word with me on the vid com.
Again, this is not the only place this happens - it is a frequent and irrating as hell issue. It normally happens in combat zones (It happened in Tuchanka -bad- at a door you have to stand in front of to get access into the facility and the last checkpoint, again) but it's normally something I'm able to get past. Here it's not and it's driving me batty, so I'd appreciate any help.
