Well, I'd sent the file to one of the guys featured in your video and I think devil joined on him into one of our (private!) zombie matches before way back in early April (we didn't tell him what it was until after the match started, that was entertaining!) Sorry zhk3r for assuming you just tweaked my file if that's not actually how it happened :D

If I'd known how popular this would be a month ago, I wouldn't have set it aside and ignored it for so long...

Though I did notice in your how-to video there's a different file in the folder named "original zombie mod.bin" o.O And if I were being a real jerk, I'd point out that in your how-to you ALWAYS call it "zombie mod", always say "coalescent" instead of "coalesced" and you get the level1 level2 level3 bit wrong as well (they're not different stages of the same wave, they're the three different difficulty levels for each wave) I don't want to assume anything but after hearing all of that together I just figured you'd not actually spent very much time at all mucking around in the file and tweaking various things to see what they changed.

Anyways, I'd be happy to exchange notes and ideas with you anytime if you're looking for some inspiration in the future.

P.S. Devil, we should play another game sometime soon, and I PROMISE not to surprise you with hordes of zombies ;)

the extreme, server crashing hordes of zombies was so much more fun than this video looks... remember crashing the game with inferno grenades sniperczar?

good job zhhk calibrating this mod though, whether or not you used sniperczar's original files.

It's called original because it's the first I made which includes Cannibals and has a 1000 Wave Budget, no spawn penalites or line of sight penalites. It wasn't very fun. Wave 1 lasted 20 minutes. Sure, add me on Origin (:

That... does not sound fun. Sent you a request.

Now the situation makes a lot more sense, I'm glad I asked you rather then sit quietly and think that you were using my mod. I did send it to one of your friends exactly four hours before the original file listed in your video :P By no means do I think you COULDN'T have come up with the few simple tweaks on your own, I just wasn't very convinced at first glance! :)

Making a solid Platinum difficulty mod is time consuming. Endless testing before each wave is perfected. And working around BioWare's balance changes can make that even more time consuming as you'll have to change other aspects to make it "Platinum". 

Indeed, everyone who has never tried it majorly underestimates the amount of tweaking/testing and time necessary to make an increased difficulty mod, especially one that actually makes the game more difficult and not just more tedious.

I probably spent more time on increased difficulty modding in ME2 than actually playing the game, and was still never quite satisfied with them as being properly "difficult." Hell, even Bioware didn't get it right with Insanity for ME1, everything just popped Immunity and took longer to kill or one-hit you. More HP and damge does not make increased difficulty, just luck-based death and tediosity. :(

Been playing this for about a week now and love it. I always let the lobby know what's going to happen, how it works, and what to expect... just as a courtesy (especially due to the 0 credit gain).

BTW, I'm on PC.

devildog0491, I love you for this! Wish BW will add some gamemodes like this, OR best way:
ADD button where we can choose which Enemy type we want to fight! For example: Only Husks (or video), Only Troopers or Guardians or even Only Atlas or Bunshe! OR Mixed - classic depands on enemy (Geth, Cerberus, Reaper) we chosed. Any way it's only Horde mode, it may be better to make some add gamemodes, not only horde type.

At this moment this is against the rules and we do take action against those caught doing it. Since this has been a grey area no action will be taken against those involved (up to this point).

We are investigating the possibility of making ME3 MP harder.

Anyone caught performing this sort of modification will have action taken against their account from this point. We may take another look at this rule in the future but at this point it stands.
