Just responding to the quote earlier "they have a legal obligation" no they don't. They own their own product and can do whatever they want with it. They don't have any obligation to ban anyone they do it to keep the community in check. Lol. Legal obligations... Ya ok.

It is an obligation.  And it is for legal reasons.

There is no law that says they must ban modders.  So there is no legal obligation in that sense.

However, by not taking action against any mod that is against their listed ToS they open themselves up to the probability of any judge saying "Well, you didn't seem too interested in protecting your IP in case 'X', why should I hear case 'Y'?"

It has happened before, and it will again.

If IP rights holders don't protect their IP and enforce their ToS 100% of the time, they end up with no legal leg to stand on when cases of real infringement crop up.
If they pick and choose and allow special exceptions to their ToS, they end up in a very difficult position should they ever need to involve a court in a dispute over ToS violations or IP protection.

Fair enough I stand corrected

I can admit when I'm wrong. Unlike most.

wow, this is awesome, great job guys! It's players like you that definately add a lot WIN to community and MP!

P.S. I hope BW will be very understanding and supportive of this sort of modding and hopefully "slippery slope" theory is only restricted to the minds of FOX talk show hosts

Im crossing my fingers. I hope they realize this helps the game and increases the life of the game and in no way hurts it.

This looks like a fun way to have weekend events, I'm not really sure if this would even be doable with consoles. But another fun thing your friend should set up is an all banshee thing, that would be pretty crazy

Here's a quick instruction video on how to modify your game to simulate L4D. Read the description of anything is unclear.

The Platinum Difficulty I'm working on allows there to be 5 Banshee's on the map at the same time. They also have incresed barrier/armor pools.

would also love an intense survival mode with no limit to rounds/waves, just kept going till overwhelmed completely.

i believe they have a cap on rounds, like 15 or so under the settings. So unlimited is not possible atm, but a longer harder game is

We earn 0 xp and creds, its just for fun. Hopefully there is no repercussions.

Tread carefully.  You guys seem like you're being honest about it, but there are plenty of people who'd abuse this sort of thing.

Best of luck.

It is simple modifications like this to the way things spawn that could help breath some life into multiplayer in the short term. Some variation to the enemy deployment types with a kind of special theme should not be to hard to deploy.

If it isn't possible Bioware needs to look into adding that to the game's infrastructure to make it possible. We've already had reduced/increased enemy types before for Brutes. Bioware just needs a way to have multiple such "specialized" files the game could pick from.

I salute you guys for being willing to risk EA's wrath over game mods, frankly ya'll should be given honory mention when this kind of setup gets add. Because it should and needs to done.

Personally, I love the idea of making this game mode come to life. Sure, there will be a lot of ways to win "easily" as you guys have probably explored (lol Singularities) but to have this as, maybe, a weekend event or permanent would be great. C'mon Bioware, we know you listen to the ideas of your fans. Don't shut down inventive ideas like these!

You can change the amount of waves to whatever you want. But that means you'll have to create new waves (12, 13 etc) under SFXGame.

Just throwing out an idea to help keep it fresh(er).

Is there way to spawn Swarmers (the little tiny bugs the Ravagers drop). If so those could add environmental irritation without need to just spam more husks. The residual acid blood patches and DoT could make things that much harder.

Very interesting idea. I'll have to read through the files to see if I can make that happen.

Maybe when you guys add in the boss enemies, it won't be AS easy to blow through with the above builds... I'm looking forward to seeing a Banshee with 20x the damage-taking capabilities. XD
