Kinda off topic but anybody that still swears by a console is a complete idiot IMO. That's another thread entirely though. Hopefully you can get a good pc soon man.

Seriously, I couldn't care less if we didn't gain credits from it, it would be something different.

IMO. the dragon age toolset was the best thing ever (mainly for allowing the perverts that we all are to make the sex scenes actual sex scenes lol) but I digress.
the modding community for DA:O was amazing but sadly nonexisting for DA2 or ME3 due to the horrid console portage phenom.
EDIT: dont mind bad grammar... im drunk

Don't mind me though. I just wanted to vent about how ****ty consoles are because every time I get a pc game at GameStop they all feel the need to tell me consoles are better. I just laugh and walk away.
But hey, ZOMBIES

DA BENJAMINS
since the extra "hardware" of a console and the fact that you actually have to have a disc. makes microsoft/nintendo/sony soooo much more money than an easier to crack etc pc game. especially now that we have steam and downloadable games. these companies are struggling to find new avenues of revenue. (DLC, collectors bull$h%#, etc.)
don't buy into that console is better.
OH DAYUM WRONG THREAD..
trollface.
its ok cuz im still drunk

wish it was on ps3
- would be cool if it becomes official gametype lol
- imagine if you replace the countless husk waves with banshees, atlus, phantons or brutes

Modding support would be fantastic, but even just a promise of no bans for modding that isn't "cheating" (or specific rules, or a couple slots for custom mode/difficulty/enemy that automatically disables credits/xp, or whatever) opens up a lot of possibilities. Most people I know who used to play modified game modes stopped when the ban threats started, just wasn't worth the risk.A Germ wrote...

There's a lot of simple mods that can be done with only a few minor tweaks, it doesn't even take much knowledge or dedication. My friends' favorite for our private games was always the "competetive hold-the-line" (annex objective with an extremely long time and custom difficulty to make it more challenging, compete to see which person or team can hold out the longest time), and the "Uber Tristram" style boss mode, making the last few waves objective waves, with custom, super-super-boosted "boss" type enemies (super mooks and super banshees/brutes/ravagers/atalases/etc. both), and giving additional bonuses and time limits to them from Assassination (100%) . There are a lot of possibilities just from simple modifications to the existing modes/enemies, without even having to get into enabling Harvesters and all that. So hopefully we can get SOME sort of support (or promise not to ban) from Bioware sometime soon.
Edit: Also, anyone have UE3 experience/knowledge? Would importing maps from ME1/ME2 be possible with just unrealed/whatever, or is there some customized version made by developers for each game they make? Also, are waypoints/spawn points/etc. for AI included in the map, or separate files? Now that we have a sfar re-packer, it might be possible to import maps from ME3 or even ME2/ME1, at least, and other more complicated stuff, by exploiting the DLC framework to add additional content. No telling what works or other roadblocks are in place though, only thing I've tested/confirmed so far was modifying the MP DLC's .bin. :\\
We need to make a proper modding thread one of these days, not the "how do i make my shepard be naked tali??" and "how do i get elusive man eyes?" one we have now

#1. Too easy to get tons of exp.
#2. it looks fun at first but has less variety than the mode we have now.
#3. the name, i bet valve would not like it too much, nor would bioware care to go to court over it.

Agreed.
I've been messing around with the idea of importing custom maps. I have no idea if it's possible, but I'll get to work on it.

I would say that bioware's lack of action on this clear violation of the rules implies consent. I honestly don't think you guys have anything to worry about. I think at the worst, they will just ask you to stop, and at best, use your examples to structure future community mods.
Good luck , you obviously meant no harm.
Hopefully (: Thanks for the support.
