  • OHK with incredible range
  • Super Stung melee attacks that can stun-lock everyone but a Drell
  • That micro Widow in their palm that hits with 90% accuracy from accross the map
  • The "hahah! I'm taking no damage!" shield
  • The ability to fire while running and cartwheeling....with 90% accuracy
  • The ability to cartwheel and dodge everything (simply because the ***** got bored of using her shield and wants to mix it up)
  • Hooverboots that she stole from Iron Man that allow her to redirect herself if she's lifted/launched, nullifying the effect. "Muah hah ahahah! Suspended you say? Magic boots activate and return me to the ground!"
  • The ability to absorb 80% of power damage/effects, unless staggered.
  • That mother ****ing Widow XXVII she has in her damn hand!!!!!!
  • ...And "Use Stasis, derp" you say?....How ability the ability to glitch and do weird ****; like leave her body in Stasis and enter a true "phantom" mode, running around the map, insivible, meleeing everyone and shooting you in the back of the head. Or just become glitched in mid-air/on a staircase and take no damage period until she decides she's had enough fun and falls through the map.
Seriously, this operation isn't fun at all. I hate everyone resorting to using Asari w/ Stasis in order to contain this madness, and I hate falling back to my Batarian Soldier just to stun-lock these broads. Phantoms suck, and they're the cheapest, most overpowerd character in the ME universe....except for Shepard, since he can halt time by simply hitting a button.

Geth Infiltrator with a Striker and warp rounds, abuse that full auto invisibility exploit, the phantoms go down in 1-2 seconds

Phantoms do suck, but without them Cerberus wouldn't be threatening at all.

And for the record, I like having a shotgun buddy with me as an AA. I stasis, he shotguns the phantom and I move to other things.

Stasis always works well, but need someone with enough punch to take them down when they're frozen. A carniflex with point blank headshots works just fine, or a sniper on your team.

Also, another weapon that owns phantoms with regularity is the Geth Plasma Shotgun. One clip of a full charge shot with 3 semi charge or quick shots usually kills one. It's not too hard to hit her with that gun either because of the spread.

Haha I'm fond of punching her lights out and then watching her fly, and having the blade armor do all the work when that sword reflects :)

I love killing them using prox mine when they cloak. Just spit out near their feet and watch them die.

Also...novaguard.

Graal + PM to the face. Take that melee assassins. Oh yeah, you need cloak too.

But seriously, Phantoms are the real boss of Cerberus, not Atlases. Missiling an Atlas is just so damn stupid.

If it werent for the ridiculously powerfull sniper thei have in their hands theyd be on paar with brutes banshees primes etc

They are the only enemy that can instantly kill you across the map with shooting you, id say either toning down the cannons damage drastically or the rof they will be stupidly op

In  all seriousness, the only thing that really irks me about them is their ability to block/dodge almost everything thrown at them. That shield is super cheap.

...Plus how the hell can they fire and use that shield at the same time??? It comes from the same damn source! Cannon fail, Bioware.

Justicars can deal with Phantoms if the map is big enough for continuous hit-and-runs - simply spam Reave to stack it up, leave warp bubble behind you in a choke point and detonate them as they enter, which by now should've depleted their barriers and detonation + Reave + Warp = death. Use high powered shotgun (Graal or GPS) to finish off any remainders, spam Reave again on fresh Phantoms, then run to next choke point to rinse and repeat.

Vanguards, especially Novaguards, are also good against them if you get your timing right and again, on a large map where you can do lots of hit-and-runs and separate the army of them into no more than 1~2, and make sure to kill all mooks short of Atlas before you finally engage the Phantoms.

Phantoms make cerberus harder than Geth, otherwise Geth is easier than cerberus ( just watch out for Hunters and I'm not just talking FBWGG here)
Their OHKO keeps peopleon their toes and their melee is a 2-hit kill on most dudes ( not krogan obv)
On the upside, they can be killed with a claymore 1 with barrel and accuracy + cloak + proxy mine or other type of debuff ( tested on gold, they have 3-5 bars of health after cloaked claymore shot, )
The best way to kill a phantom is with a shotgun or Stsis, or even both ( hint hint)

Fighting phantoms made me realize how stupid the alliance is....

how many phantoms have they sent the N7 corp to fight... and not one of us thought to take that damn glove... because its better than the weapons which are given me... hell, cut off her hand and us it as a ultra rare collectible... because I would trade every single one of those pack weapons for the phantom glove...

Really?...

I actually find Phantoms to be rather easy. Just a matter of keeping constant fire on them or hitting them with very hard single shots. Powers like Stasis, Submission Net, Charge, Nova, Shockwave, Bubble, and Reave can all be very useful as well. Honestly, I can't understand what the fuss is about. I'd suspect we knocked this community goal out of the park once again.

Fire a power at her. Most of the time she'll pause and raise her hand to block powers for a few seconds, immobile, not firing.

Line up a headshot. A winner is you.

Tactics, more overpowered than phantoms.

AA and AV stasis and snipe. No problem if you see them first.
Engineers: Drone/Turret and Overload, Incinerate/Cryo. You definitely need to see them first.
Geth Infiltrator with Shotgun (melee spec): Tactical cloak, walk up beside her and melee...mwahaha!
Krogan specced for melee, any flavour, hit her once up close and personal, best for Kroguards.

My beef with them is that they're pretty much unaffected by my powers, like cryo or energy drain. I get their barriers down and then I try to freeze them and nothing.

energy drain freezes them and knocks their barrier out... all you need to do is blast her after that...

Phantoms are hard, but I wouldn't want them to be toned down because I think it would make Cerberus way too easy compared to Geth and Reapers. Each faction has at least one good "pinning" enemy (rocket troopers for Geth, ravagers for Reapers, and nemeses/turrest for Cerberus), and a good "flushing" enemy (hunters/pyros for Geth, brutes/banshees for Reapers, and phantoms for Cerberus). Without phantoms, Cerberus wouldn't have any "flushing" troops, and it would be too easy to bunker down and pick them off because none of the other troops are good at hand-to-hand (except atlases, but you can run circles around them).

Somehow on Gold every Engineer and Krogan and whatever are always dying in later waves. If you don't have stasis, forget about holding the hack area, it will most likely turn into a revive chain.

I dunno. Phantoms are deadly when they flank or surprise you, but individually they are managable if spotted at range, especially in the open where they can't hide.

Oddly, enough, my glass cannon Human Engie has a fair number of incidents of chasing AFTER a Phantom, zapping away with Overload and spraying it down with a Heat Sink V Tempest. The Phantom in most cases is dead if it couldn't get out of my crosshairs.
