I think I went down to sync kills twice all weekend. If she's not stunned, don't stand within her melee radius.
If she's firing her palm cannon, get into cover til she stops. Really, how is that so hard to grasp?
And yeah, they're hardest when there are other enemies present. Why wouldn't they be? Do you want a retarded enemy AI that doesn't use coordinated mixed-unit tactics? That'd be a LOT of fun.

Drell Adept: Reave + Cluster grenades = phantoms flying all over
Turian Soldier: Revenant X + proximity mine = phantom staggered and trying to advance through a wall of bullets
Human Infiltrator: Claymore X + Cloak = easy mode phantom killing

Rather, don't stand in melee radius, period. It absolutely sucks to think you've got her in locked in stagger, only for her to grab you the instant she recovers.ndw542 wrote...

Often it's the pressure a Phantom puts you in when she gets into midrange that causes lolpalmcannon deaths. It tends to make people go into 'OHCRAPPHANTOMISTHISCLOSEOHCRAPOHCRAPOHCRAP' mode and abandon cover. If she's firing her palm cannon, get into cover til she stops. Hell, it happens to me a few times.

Quick! Somebody get this man a Melee Specced Batarian Solider, Stat!
Haha I'm fond of punching her lights out and then watching her fly, and having the blade armor do all the work when that sword reflects
Batarian Blades - Cover...wait 3 seconds...blades detonate...batarian gauntlet melee...have a nice day

not for me they aren't
with their cannon on their hands they stay on cover on the other side of the map sniping you and killing you in seconds because there's no invincibility frame when the shield goes down and one shot takes out an shield two more shoots kill you instantly
seriously make phantoms try to close in to meele you because thats not what i see them doing all the time i was fighting one >
and i hate the fact i have to throw warp 4-5 times to hit because sometimes it hits her however it vanishes and does no effect (glitch?) leaving me open while she fires her Protoype glove of ultimate destruction on my face

The hand cannon simply fires too quickly, considering the damage output it has.
The instakill attack is unpredictable sometimes due to lag.
The palm shield renders all projectile powers practically useless, despite that fact than Phantoms are one of the enemy types in which such powers would be most helpful.
If those issues were addressed, however, they'd work fine as enemies.

I often sneak up on phantoms and blow their head off with a claymore. It sucks though, those times that they can see you even while you're cloaked. Worse, when they automatically pull you in to a one-hit death move from several feet away, literally, my character slowly walked over to a phantom to be stabbed and I couldn't do anything but take that slow walk toward death. But I like the gold challenge of phantoms. Personally, I'd like to take a stab at a map with nothing but phantoms.
Yeah phantoms and banshees are good for that drag kill...I've been caught with that from behind a couple times lining up shots on other enemies, then I just go sliding backwards to my inevitable death....wamp wamp.

the challenge was fun this weekend. I have never met so many Phantoms in my life. They increased their numbers i'm pretty sure . They were only unnerving in a Hack terminal /Wave 10 in the middle of Reactor Room -> death trap.
But i think i won't play Cerberus for a full week now... after a few Gold matches i could see hear this 'pfew pfew pfew" sound in my head.

^ This I agree with. The magnetic field instakill when you're at full health is annoying too.
Other than that I think they're fine.

Hint: suppressive fire actually works vs phantoms. They can't stab people in the guts while they are cartwheeling around.

They are dangerous and difficult to take on alone for many classes. Later gold waves are also a bit ridiculous without stasis. But it still is very doable with good teamwork.

good teamwork involves my Asari Adept putting Phantoms in a stasis bubble so the rest of the team armed with high powered snipers can kill them quickly on gold.

Earlier today phantoms were walking right through my batarian net...not sure what that was about.
Something similar happened to me with phantoms walking through my stasis bubble:blink:
