So... nothing new here, I guess? Figures. :/

Yep... very quiet from BW's side.... not cool.   <_<

They're probably watching the unfurling fiasco that is the latest diablo patch and thinking

"You know what the next mass effect needs?.........>Permanent internet connection and real money trading!"

Whelp I'm off to check the DA3 forums, see if there's been any news on this issue =]

You just listed the two things that stopped me from buying Diablo 3, a similar fate awaits any Bioware games that do the same thing.  As it stands the EMS issue will stop me from buying DA3 until after it's been released and other fans have checked it out.

You may be right, AsteroidBlues. I just don't understand how BW cannot see that admitting that there is an issue and fixing it with a patch would be a much better PR move and would appease fans much more than being silent about it. If they think that just sneaking in more war assets will make people forget what happened with this I think they are wrong. I know that I will NOT forget what they promised, what they delivered, and how they treated the fans.

I think all we can do is keep this thread alive and show that we are still here, still waiting.

Yeah, it makes no real sense.  Just treat your fanbase right and they'll do the same to you.  They need to learn that.

I'm right with ya, brother.  I'm not letting this issue go away either!

Too true, but didn't they already do that?  They're half there with the "must consistently play MP to keep EMS up or no ending for you!"  Just need the real money trading.

Although, day 1 and future DLC plus microtransations could be conisdered...

AGREE BIG TIME HERE.... Same reasons I am not buying Diablo 3.

Count me in as well - I'm not letting this "invisible" issue die. The silence has gone on long enough. As 3DandBeyond wrote, "man up" already! I still firmly believe this is NOT a bug - this was intentional, as a means of "encouraging" multiplayer and this silence has but one purpose: milk multiplayer for all its worth. It makes NO sense to remain silent for as long as they have- this is an easy fix. It's even easier to take a moment to write about it in this OFFICIAL forum

Well the Ending DC has been announced - will be interesting to see if the gasp scene is expanded on or not!

Have a feeling that if it is a lot more people will suddenly be a lot more concerned with the EMS issue. (If it isn't then you have to wonder why they bothered with it in the first place!)

So, is it now possible, to get the best ending without multi player? I haven't touched the game since my first playthrough, so I don't now if someone has finally done the maths right.

Anyone grinding there way through multiplayer this weekend, with the release of the EC in a few days? As much as I hate the grinding, I'll probably will. Seeing the ending I want on YouTube just isn't the same. :(

Bioware, we need an answer here. Did you finally fix this for the EC or not?

Jessica just tweeted that they adjusted the EMS:

https://twitter.com/...223459641004032

Now I'd just like to know how they adjusted it, but I'm guessing my near-optimal single player playthrough is going be enough to get the "best" ending this time around.

Thanks for the info. That's good to know, however, it infuriates me that again, we have to find out about this from somebody posting a link to a tweet, instead of BW actually coming in here and announcing it.

I do wonder what it means that they "adjusted" it. How? By how much? Will we still have to play a perfect run, choosing every choice that adds the necessary points instead of choosing what we would want, to squeeze out the points needed for that half a breath? And how about PS3 players, who start with a handicap?:devil:

But, again, thanks for letting us know. <3

Finally! I really didn't expect them to fix this anymore. This has restored my faith in BioWare a little. :)

Okay, read it, still waiting to see what exactly this means for SP players, especially if you're on the PS3. Not too happy with the tone (condescending as usual), plus he portrays the issue as if they had always said that you have to do MP or iOS apps to get enough points but now they are so nice that they will let you get them through SP IF YOU DO EVERYTHING JUST RIGHT.

There are still a lot of questions and I don't have much hope that Priestly will actually answer them, but hopefully I will be proven wrong.

They can't admit outright that they provided false information about everything being available in singleplayer alone. It's clear they did with the wording provided in the sticky.

I'm glad they fixed it, though, but still, it's no way to treat your customers like this.

I agree but it's still not clear what exactly they mean, what did they do, how will it affect us, will there be enough points for everyone, etc. And now that a lot of people are calling BW out on their false promises and are asking questions, I have less and less hope that Priestly will actually come back in the thread and give a straight answer. I think he'll just lock the thread.

This part really boils my blood:
"The original experience of the game was meant to reward players who did extra work (multiplayer, importing a save, playing the iOS games, etc) with greater levels of success in the end, which is appropriate to a story about a war that needs every possible advantage in order to win."

BTW, I've just noticed something he said:
"have additional content for the endings"

Hmmm....

Huh?  I read the sticky and I see no confirmation that they fixed anything.  It's ridiculously vague.  I mean, honestly I'm not even going to bother with the EC if I have to grind my GR up again.  I can't stand the MP.  I find it incredibly boring.  If you've read something I missed please inform me.
