Guys I appreciate the screenshots showing you have over 8000 however as they don't show all the parts it is impossible to see how you've done it or to work out how we can.

Hate to be picky but could you just list the totals for each section ie Alliance, Asari, Cerberus etc - that way we can try and see where we are missing points - Cheers

Edit:  These are my numbers....
The closest I've got is 7167 TMS, a quick breakdown being...
Alien 973
Alliance 1630
Asari 668
Crucible 655
Ex-Cerberus 260
Geth 815
Krogan 875
Quarian 490
Salarian 168
Turian 633

Total 7167 TMS or with 50% GRS 3584 EMS

 I was being sarcastic.  That number was obtained by promoting 10 or so characters in multiplayer.   Not that I would suggest anyone else also promoted several characters and then scrolled down before taking the pic to hide that fact.

To be fair, he might not have promoted any characters, he may be playing ME3, Bioware Employees Complete Edition, including 10000 War Assets, 16 endings and commemorative Garrus/Shepherd Fistbump statue......

He's wrong about that as well. Not including "Stargazer" which isn't relevant here there is a total of seven endings. Every ending except one is achievable with SP only. It's that one ending that is impossible to get which is causing all the fuss. 

Easiest thing to do is just drop the requirements for that ending to the same amount of points needed to unlock "Synthesis". Everyone should be reasonably able to get that level of points (I think).

EDIT: Link to the requirements for the endings. An EMS of 2800+ should definitely be achievable by anyone.

This topic is the reason why I haven't bought or played ME3 yet. Here's what I think the emails went like in the BW/EA office...

'BWtoEA: 'Um, it appears we made a ****-up and miscalculated total assets so players can't get all endings in SP like we promised, shall we make an announcement and get started on a patch?'

EAtoBW: 'Oh, well uh... MP is our priority at the moment, we want people to spend money on weapon packs and stuff so let's just keep on making MP maps and packs and events for now. In fact, your mistake is in our favour to get more people playing multiplayer!'

BWtoEA: 'So what shall we say to our fans on the forums/blog/website etc?'

EAtoBW: 'Say nothing! Perhaps in a few months get one of you guys from programming to up the default Readiness to 70%. Until then just sit tight and see how many Spectre packs we can sell! Oh yeah, and it's probably best to try and bury the issue in the tech forum for now...'

BWtoEA: 'Oh ok. You're the boss!'

That's the whole point. Getting it to that level without touching multiplayer. Which has been promised and which doesn't seem to be the case.

I actually did something I swore I would never do.... I created a gawldarn twitter account, so I could respond to Mike Gamble's tweet about the "3 ending choices" all being available in SP.

I simply tweeted him a link to the Financial Post interview, where Mac Walters is asked... point blank.... if Multiplayer is required and whether all endings would be available.  Of course, he says that every gameplay ending is available without multiplayer and that there are more than enough war assets in SP.

I simply asked if Bioware still stood by this interview.


Probably won't get a response until Monday at the earliest, if at all... but I encourage others to press him about it.

Afterall, the reason our giant productive thread was closed down was becuase this same man was supposedly 'investigating' the issue.
Well, his latest tweet says otherwise.


EDIT: Accidently attributed the interview to Mike Gamble, but it was Mac Walters.  It still applies though.

My first play I had 2800 on the nose. Only the first two options were available.

That's odd. I found a different article detailing the difference between saving or destroying the Collector Base but it still says that 2800 is the minimum needed to get Synthesis in either case.

Yeah, I've seen it listed in several articles, but the fact remains, it didn't open synthesis.

Maybe there's some rounding issue with TMS 5600x50% vs getting 2800 EMS from TMS 5601x50% or a lower TMS with a higher readiness rating (LIke TMS 2800x100% for instance)

All I know is 2800 EMS didn't do the trick for me.

With the ongoing silence about the issue, I've come to the conclusion that this was intentional. A) to force us to play multiplayer or Infiltrator and B) to buy more DLC wich obviously will give us more war assets.

What happened to the promise that multiplayer would be completely optional? Oh wait, it's there in the bin with all the other promises...

Mac Walters: I’m always leery of saying there are “optimal” endings, because I think one of the things we do try to do is make different endings that are optimal for different people, but I know what they mean, they’re talking about the gameplay optimal ending, and the single player has all of the assets that you need to be able to achieve that.

Nice. So much bull****, or is it just ignorance? Bioware really excels at alienating their SP customers.

kind of

it's more the principal of the matter than the actual scene itself plus who knows what the breath will become with the extended cut

Agreed, more a matter that they forced people to play lot's of MP or use the mobile stuff. And for what ?
- 2 to 3 sec scene 'the breath' ... again some kind of seek joke or artistic abstract?

Well why wouldn't you want that at the end of hours and hours of play? 

That and the fact that I don't understand why I should be penalised for not wanting to play MP - which is what they are doing.  Oh and the "it is possible to achieve all endings via SP only" - which it obviously isn't.

Again I will say it - if MP or Apps were required to reach all parts of the game it should have been stated on release.  It wasn't.  All endings are available via SP only was the statement...

...so I would like all the endings made accessible - as was the promise when I purchased the game.

Thing is the reduced dialogue wasn't a failure coming from too little development time.

It was a deliberate choice based on the style of game BW now wants to make.


That's fine.


Though BW telling us just weeks in advance that it was still the same type of game as ME1 and 2, was pretty distastful.
