I have to laugh abou guys find it so strange that there are females who like to play games. I mean, who cares, what does it matter. It's a popular game, not played by chubby men with four eyes solely:-) There are also Jews, Muslims, male strippers, bartenders, milfs etc. in the online games. Seriously, who gives a damn, just play..

Well... I have noticed while playing ME3 on xbox that most people either 1. don't use the mic while playing OR 2. are a in a party like I am with my friend(s)... and a lot of girls I know from gamerchix, etc say they will not use a mic when playing anyway. I have only seen a few in pick up groups but since it is a 4 player lobby and I am usually playing with 1 or 2 people I imagine that is why my chances of running into other girls are so much less than say, playing call of duty. I have lots of girl gamers on my friends list but none that play ME3... also not all of us have girly obvious names... but I think I'm pretty good at picking out the girls even then.

I know personaly some ladies who are palying. They just not confess to another male persons that they are playing. I know families there are questioning who can now play because mom like to play and kids like to play and dad too!. Solution - family has pc:s and xboxes and playstatios. LCD screens are cheap today.

Not using a mic is a shame really, but I totally understand.  I play xbox and always use the mic, but frequently everyone's mic is off.  I had heard about ladies who don't use the mic because they do not want to deal with the crap.  So I guess there are a lot more women gamers out there than you think.

shame people dont use their mic's in games. Main reason MP is enjoyable some time is reciting Mounty python and the holy grail quotes while running away from banshees.

well...i did play with a girl who had an N7 100 levels above me and has got to be the sweetest gamer i've seen to date. She almost cried when i got assassinated by a phantom lmao.

Buttt regardless her having 100 more levesl than i did... let's just say i felt emasculated.

I don't know about you guys, but I don't go out of my way to find females to add to my friends list. If I find one in multiplayer, whatever, I don't treat them any differently.

I would think that a good amount of them don't even play with mics because of the blatant sexism running rampant online.

Also, even if you have one girl in your party, the conversation during games changes. People act too differently around girls - either being extra nice to them, in whatever way, or (trying) to be funny by cracking sexist jokes.

I'm a female gamer and I use a mic. Granted, I don't start chit-chatting away the minute I join a lobby, but I haven't had a single bad experience, quite the opposite. Just normal chats with normal folk. I'm on PC, mostly in silver or gold, so communication just makes things a lot easier. If I were to get abuse, I'm sure I can handle it - it doesn't worry me.

In my case it's for a variety of reasons:

- I've grown fond of them.
- Avatar choices are limited.
- Wanted one of the least used ones so I can find my own posts more easily.
- I kinda find them less ugly now than I did before, believe it or not. I mean, they're still ugly. But I can't help but feel that the batarian soldier I play is kinda hot. In his own asskicking way.
