Ahaha, so it's not just me who thought that was so bad as to be hilarious

No no you are not.

It's one of the only enjoyable parts about Priority: Earth to me.

Every now and then when Shepard says something particularly retarded, or gets 'mood whiplash', I still say "STEEEEEEEEEEVE! ..you sure" under my breath.

LOL

Honestly it's the mood whiplash that makes it go from WTF to hilarious.

For me, it's not a dialog piece, but a cutscene action piece. Every time Shep goes up against Kai Leng, Shep just goes derp. Especially at the end of the final fight. You double-tap the SOB to make sure he stays down! You don't turn away!  I had a giant krogan flechette gun that would have needed just a single tap to ensure the "awesome" cutscene where you stab him (bleh... I needed to dissociate his head... it's a Vanguard thing.) would never needed to be done.

Kinda like with Saren in ME1. "Make sure he's dead". *Tali goes down and puts two bullets into his skull*

Shepard ripping Joker for his Thessia joke. Pissed me off.

How? That was completely innapropriate in regards to the situation.

The joke or Shep's reaction? Because it was the reaction that pissed me off.

Auto-flirting with James Vega.

The post-Thessia stuff (should have been able to get angry at asari councilor for the asari hiding Vendetta from the other races and hang up, then should have been able to find Joker's joke funny).

I almost got whiplash when my Shepard said ''Evolution is an amazing force''. What the heck, my Shepard believes in creation NOT evolution!

This interaction was pretty bad. My first playthrough it wasn't so out of character for my Shepard, but when EDI started on about a penguin driving in the Arizona desert, I would have enjoyed the option to say, "Okay, that made me smile." Even if it had to end with, "But not now, EDI."

My vote will actually go to walking in on Garrus and Tali. Because woah. There should have been an option to either politely back out, rather than standing there intruding, or the option to ask them supportively to put a lock on their door, or an option to say that this is a military ship in wartime and that they were entirely inappropriate (maybe if Shepard were in a relationship Garrus could call BS). I dunno, I thought the generic, I'm happy for you, was limiting, no matter how often that option would have been appropriate.

Maybe so but in this setting (unlike - depending on personal belief - real life) evolution has been undeniably proven: through 'uplifting', and the evolvement of 'primitives' (Javik's cycle) to space-farers (current cycle in setting), and the creation of life in different forms across the galaxy(ies).

*shrug* ...so unfortunately, that's out of Shepard's hands.

The "catalyst" auto dialogue is the part that anoys me the most.. but yes, there were other situations where I would have liked more options.
In some situations autodialogue works because it's so simple and straightforward.

Ok...maybe since you HATE Yvonne Strahovsky (for some insane, impossible reason) you could take it to mean YOU (Shepard) wanted to screw her over and are pissed that the opportunity was taken from you.

I'm definitely less bothered by auto-dialogue (in general) than most people here, but inability to say anything meaningful to Starchild and "Big Stupid Jellyfish" line made me cringe.

Hey, anytime you want to survive you HAVE to toss strategery and tacticles out the window!  The only thing that works at the survival level is full-on panic.

Panic is the strategery and tacticle that works in the end.

We fight or we die!

Lame, Shepard! Could have come up with a half assed plan at least, or an inspiring pep talk. We fight or we die is obvious to the point of being useless, and isn't what *my* Shepard would have said.

Also, the entire ending sequence, but that's been discussed ad nauseum.

Exactly.

The only way to survive is to flip out and totally lose your ****.

Panic is a sound and foolproof strategy. And quite frankly, the only solution. Image IPB

One that annoyed me is that I somehow got locked into pursuing Aria's offer even though I was playing a paragon Shepard who wasn't too sure the mercs were could be trusted or could be released without too much dirty work, because every time I tried to walk into Bailey's office, it seemed to launch automatically into the "I want the Eclipse commander released" dialogue. (Right after the Cerberus coup attempt *might* have been an exception - I can't remember at the moment.)

Maybe there was some option to just tell Aria no unequivocally that I didn't pick? Still, it seemed like it should have been a choice on the dialogue wheel rather than something you absolutely have to say when you walk into Bailey's office. I ended up reloading to avoid this at least twice, I think.

You don't know how batsh*t crazy the prisoner is until you actually go and talk to her.  It is not out of character for a paragon Shepard to have a chat with the nutsycookoo prisoner.  You CAN get a resolution to the whole thing without letting the nutbag out of prison.  That is pretty paragony too.

Tali. Rannoch.

I did not care about her getting a home. I really didn't.

And the sad thing is that if my Shep didn't AUTOMATICLLY spend the Rannoch Arch comforting, praising and joking with her I probably would have cared. She had realistic and likeable charachter development but I wanted the freakin OPTION to not be best friends.

Oh, THIS.

I finished Horizon, then reloaded a previous save so that she would die. I metagamed to get rid of her.

She should NOT get a mention when my Shep is avenging her FRIEND Thanes death BW. Seriously, why?
