I thoroughly enjoyed these games at the time and probably still would if I were to play them today. I really don't understand why every game need be a FPS these days... Now in all fairness, Fallout 3 (in my opinion) was ok. And supposedly a company is re-making  XCOM: Enemy Unknown . I'm looking foward to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, not XCOM

Not just any company, but Firaxis. So I'm cautiously optimistic.
Also, yeah. Screw "XCOM". Most ridiculous "remake" I've ever seen in my life.

Should have shown respect where it is due. :D Firaxis is definetly worth that respect and shouldn't have been referred to as "a company" when I knew who.

I stand corrected.

XCOM... *sigh*

When I first saw the news from 2K Marin I was ecstatic. Then I saw sample gameplay and heard the phrase "first person shooter". Garbage!

I never understood the fascination with a fps. I especially hate it in Skyrim, and wish it was dedicated 3rd person. 3rd person as is feels clutzy.

Borderlands and Crysis are the only FPS I actually like. TPS all the way otherwise.

Nope. The gaming market is already too saturated by FPS as it is now

No, If i want a FPS i play Cod o Battlefield.

So even if it had excellent story telling you still wouldn't like it?

LOL Excellent story telling doesn't mean anything if the ending is the equivalent of the asari consort ripping a nasty fart when you're making out.

It wouldn't have competitive MP either, because that "doesn't make sense". And since the galaxy just went kablooey (either figuratively or literally, what selling points is this hypothetical FPS going to have?

...put two and two together you get an unholy hybrid of an MMOFPS. This is the route Blizzard is going down with Titan, and I wouldn't be surprised if bioware attempted something similar.

Would I play an MMOFPS in a mass effect universe? Nope, I'm done with MMOs now.

(Shiver) I think I feel

I agree with you, I'd hate to see ME turned into a MMO.

No.

Too many shooters. I could use another RPG instead, can't get enough of those, especially these days.
