I really got into MP this weekend which surprised me because I didn't think I would. I just put in my code for the two day pass to check it out and now I'm hooked. Was shocked to see when I loaded up the SP game my EMS was like 6500 and galactic readiness close to 100%.
Anyway, because I'm a noob I started out on Bronze so that I wouldn't drag the rest of my team down and also to learn the maps and stuff. And I know it's the beginner's bracket, but man, some of these players are baaaaaaaad Don't get me wrong, I am no pro - far from it. But I can follow directions.
For example, if we're doing one of the waves that says disable the devices or kill high value targets, then that's what I try to do. I don't run around aimlessly killing things and ending up dead in the process. There were so many games over the weekend where I would be dead (because, again, I'm still learning myself), and I would go into spectator mode and watch helplessly as people would just run around aimlessly instead of disabling the device. It was maddening.
I kept wanting to say "GET THE EFFING DEVICE!!!!" I'm really hoping to level up and get better gear so I can go into Silver or Gold. But I'm just wondering, do you guys like playing on Bronze? Because sometimes it's an excercise in anger management for me. :-/
Do you guys like playing on Bronze?

I actually like Bronze - only time you can easily adjust to a new character/weapon and still have fun without the pressure. I think sometimes people get confused as to who is going to run the objectives - infiltrators would prefer people not go with them while he hacks, etc. Some people know this and some new people who are infiltrators - may not.

I play Bronze if I've leveled up a character and am at LvL 1-5 with them or trying out a new gun, build etc so I don't mind playing on Bronze but I understand it can be frustrating when people are running willy nilly (yes, I said willy nilly) and not doing the objectives etc.
Silver suits me best though now that I've played for awhile, can be challenging at times, but not have to deal with all the craziness you find on Bronze. Gold can be a bit too intense for me at times so I don't play there that often. I just wanna have fun.

That crap happens no matter the difficulty it seems. Just try to meet some decent people along the way and play with them.

Bronze is great to being in.
Bronze is great to level characters and try new builds and testing solo runs.
Bronze is great for people who have difficulty playing the other modes.
It has its purpose.

I've had people on bronze who completely ignore hack objectives, which makes them take forever. So what I do is complete the hack, let them die, and run around with one enemy left until they rage quit.
But honestly, the people are silver are way worse.

I play bronze to lvl up my characters, but if I see a new player (low N7) I actually tag with him/her and help them to survive together, i remember how difficult was when i started and it could be annoying see the "pro" show how good they are to kill everything and ignore the actually CoOp aspect of the game... easy to do with lvl 20 char and X weapons....
If you want, [xbox: piallator] I will be glad to join you in bronze matches....

Bronze is fun, but it's too easy much of the time.
And remember, if an infiltrator is capturing an objective, don't stand near them.

I enjoy Bronze because I have fun time on it. But then, I rarely play with randoms anymore anyway.

Yeah, I get that. The other thing that I always try to have is teamwork. Whenever I see someone actually doing the objectives, I, first, make sure I'm standing in that blue circle or whatever, and second, I always guard the players hacking so that don't get shot/killed or interrupted. Also, I play a vanguard but i never charge in unless I know it will actually help the team. I saw a lot of vanguards over the weekend charging into like 10 mobs and then dying promplty. I was like, whoa...

Bronze is boring... But it is a good place to relevel your characters after promotions... Not that I promote.
Its also fun to run around like a headless chicken slaughtering everything in your path. I once played a match hip firing my Raptor and heavy meleeing with my Eviscerator using my GI.

I played with some very decent teams on bronze today. Everybody was rushing towards the killing and capping objectives, and moving as if we are playing silver. Once we had a very biotic team and everybody was setting off other's explosion left and right. I can see that my teammates are just leveling their characters, but still it made the process extremely enjoyable and fast.
So yes, it doesn't really matter which level you are playing. It matters who your teammates are.

I really only play bronze solo. People in bronze games tend to be really just worried about individual score rather than actually winning. There are many acceptations of course, but don't like wasting time looking for them. Gold tends to be a little more professional with players actually worrying about completing objectives and not freaking out if they are trailing 1k points behind the guy in 1st place.
on the other hand, your always welcome in bronze games, but on gold you may meet some elitists snobs who doubt anyone is really good enough to have the honor of playing with them. That tends to be more true on consoles though, if your on PC like me then you will find players tend to be silent. Feel free to shoot me an invite if your PC, name is the same, I would be happy to play a few rounds with you if you want to get your feet wet in silver.

I know how you feel, I've played a whole lot of bronze now and seen plenty of newbs trying to learn what to do. Once you get to the higher levels in your class(es) you should be able to hold your own for a round till they can be revived. My suggestion is to get a mic (if you don't already have one) and pray that they're listening.

I play bronze when I'm too drunk for silver or gold.

I only do bronze nowadays with a level 1 character or if I want to have some melee fun with a krogan.
I also use it once in a while to test out some guns.
If I want to do some serious testing, I usually setup a solo gold game with Cerberus to see how workable something is.

I generally put my level 1 characters in such, and I used to use it to test out characters I wasn't familiar with.
As of now, I tend to hit Silver, as it's where I have the most fun; not too hard (also not too easy), and there's more than enough enemies to go around. On Bronze, if there's a couple of players who like to kill stuff, there's not a lot to fight.

I don't care for it anymore. Same for Silver as you'll have a lot of downtime.

Yeah I play Bronze (usually with people from the Bronze effect group) and we have amazing fun. We do play gold and silver as well.

It depends.
Bronze skills don't neccessarily translate into Silver (just like silver doen not always translate into Gold.) I find the more i play bronze, the more bad habbits i have to shake off in silver.
In Bronze, I can shake off a bad team and 99% of the time still pull the match off. However, there seem to be as many scrubs in Silver as they are in bronze, with far more difficulty in overcoming their scrub like behavior.
That being said, I enjoy helping n00bs learn, one of my best friends got the game and We have been doing lots of bronze runs (more silver now) to get his characters up and learn basic skills. he knows nothing about ME except what he's exposed to in MP so there is a learning curve to overcome.
I also run it if I'm low on medigel, as I am far more unlikely to use it.

I usually play on silver or bronze. Tried gold a few time and ran into the "elitists" and decided at that point it wasn't for me. I play online for fun not to listen to some ****hole barking on his mic the whole time.
