I'm glad bronze is there. It's good training ground.

I play bronze when I'm too drunk for silver or gold.
lol .. I still play the higher difficulities. I completed a gold match to full extraction last night while drunk. I have no idea how useful I was though. I don't think I did too bad but I may have been too drunk to notice that I sucked

Bronze is the only mode worth playing. MP = readiness percentage. There's no other point to the mode. All it exists for is readiness. That's all. You really think you'll still be playing silver or gold when you unlock all the things?
No. You'll play a few bronze maps a day in order to keep your % up. That's it.
I respectfully disagree. If all readiness % was removed from the game, I would continue to play MP because it's fun. Your own experience may differ, but I have no interest in what my EMS scores or whatever are in SP anymore now that I've seen the so-called 'good' ending. Maybe once my 3-game replay is nearly done in a few months it will matter again, but I doubt I will care about that % until after the EC DLC comes out.
I play Bronze because it's fun, no other reason.

Honestly, it's not so much the actual difficulty or even the supposed prolific scrubbery of Bronze that annoys me; it's just that it doesn't bring in enough cash or exp. to be worth playing the whole 20mins once your character is levelled up to a point.

I really got into MP this weekend which surprised me because I didn't think I would. I just put in my code for the two day pass to check it out and now I'm hooked. Was shocked to see when I loaded up the SP game my EMS was like 6500 and galactic readiness close to 100%.
Anyway, because I'm a noob I started out on Bronze so that I wouldn't drag the rest of my team down and also to learn the maps and stuff. And I know it's the beginner's bracket, but man, some of these players are baaaaaaaad Don't get me wrong, I am no pro - far from it. But I can follow directions.
For example, if we're doing one of the waves that says disable the devices or kill high value targets, then that's what I try to do. I don't run around aimlessly killing things and ending up dead in the process. There were so many games over the weekend where I would be dead (because, again, I'm still learning myself), and I would go into spectator mode and watch helplessly as people would just run around aimlessly instead of disabling the device. It was maddening.
I kept wanting to say "GET THE EFFING DEVICE!!!!" I'm really hoping to level up and get better gear so I can go into Silver or Gold. But I'm just wondering, do you guys like playing on Bronze? Because sometimes it's an excercise in anger management for me. :-/
well, after finding good squadmates, I only do gold now. It's challenging and the team work feels right. Silver is still ok for random games or leveling up characters. but bronze is a bit too easy and the reward too low.

To date I have one successful Silver run, that was pretty crazy, and I must say one of the fellows I played it with was an amazing player (s/he
Wave 6 (edit: or was it 9? :/) was a hacking objective and is fondly remembered as the brute-around-the-rosy wave (banshees were guest stars)... Sh*t be Glorious!
But seriously, I'm not hardened to hold out on silver and gold...

I actually like Bronze - only time you can easily adjust to a new character/weapon and still have fun without the pressure.
This, bronze is fun instead of a chore.
I love it.

I still go back to bronze from time to time when I went a more relaxing game though I tend to get bored now. You just don't get that sense of camaraderie on bronze cause everyone is usually being Rambo and separated into the four corners of the map.

yeah bronze is relaxing. it's a fun time. it will get less frustrating as you get better. It's much much easier than gold and silver. the Bronze players can be terribad but with time you can totally carry bronze so it doesn't matter if they flounder or not. it will also get less frustrating when you get better weapons.

I just tried out a Bronze match for the first time in a while as I promoted most of my classes and, wow, there are a whole crop of new people out there. My only request would be to stick together if you don't know how to play, yet, and focus on objectives!!

I will admit that bronze has turned into a free for all in which everyone goes off and does their own thing, at least in randoms. In games played with friends (from this forum) we joke around, and experiment with certain combos. Yesterday we all played as geth engineers. 3 of us had damage dealing turrets and one had a sheild turret. When we encountered a Prime, bam 3 turrets surrounding him and it was hilarious to watch as he kept getting confused and pissed off (it probably didn't help his mood that each time he deployed his combat drone we would hit it with overload).

Bronze is also good for increasing galactic readyness as you are pretty much a lock to finish the game.

For example, playing as a Human Infiltrator, armed only with a Predator as a sidearm for RP purposes - on Silver/Gold, odds are you'd be throwing the game for your teammates, but on Bronze, you can actually get away with a build like that, and have fun doing so.
I imagine their are actually a lot of Mass Effect fans who use multiplayer to create their own fan-characters, and might not be such great shakes at console shooters - as I say, Bronze gives them the perfect outlet to play around with their creations, but without the risk of getting hammered on a higher difficulty and not enjoying themselves. Which is totally fair, IMO.

With the sniper rifle, I like the practice because it's faster paced (due to everyone killing everything quickly) so I have to pick my shots and line up my aims a lot faster. Also, keeping it stable when a soldier gets in front of you while going full auto on the revenant or the vanguard drops in on a cluster of mooks.
