Heretics! You would never understand the glorious woman that is Daro'Xen!
I would understand her better if I got the chance to dissect her corpse.

If they do this, PLEASE give Shepard the option of going along with Xen (who kind of reminds me of "Walternate" on Fringe. I really want to see the inner workings of the Citadel. Don't make Shepard a ****** "oh you can't do that **** because it might save me from choosing A, B, or C!"
And tell me that none of you who always side with the Geth wouldn't fry the toasters to do this once.

probably why it was cut - improvements cost time and money. they also can't make money off it if it's ready to be included in the main game. charging us for it as DLC ensures they make more money.Greylycantrope wrote...
Could use some improvements but seeing this would have been sweet.

This mission would have put the Geth-Quarian relationship in a different light.
It looks like Xen is afraid the Geth will enslave the Quarians if peace was made. Doesn't Javik have a story about a people that got enslaved by AI they made in enhance their bodies...kinda like Geth uploaded in Quarain suits...
All text provided is ripped directly from the TLK file of the game. I originally posted the raw scipt dump, but then stripped out the script tags for convenience of reading. Can put the raw data chunk as-is, if you want.this thread may or may not belong here. they do have another main forum for ME3 fan submissions. if this script is truly included with the game, ok, it counts as a spoiler, but if not, it's technically fan submission material. that being said, this was much better than some of the other fan submissions i've read.
That is poor reasoning. One of the reasons people gripe the WA system is that is balances out SOME decisions in this asinine way, making your decisions irrelevant to the war effort, since when you reduce everything to a singular number, what difference does it make if it's a squad of Geth Primes or two news reporters? The only truly unbalanced-in-this-way decisions are usually either beneficial to Paragons or negative for Renegades, which is another point of contention - the only pro-Renegade thing in the entire system is the kill-Wrex-destroy-Maelon's-data-convince-Mordin-to-not-implement-cure path for Tuchanka, as it nets you more Salarians, gives you Mordin or Padok alive and well AND keeps the krogans in the war.ensure that the end result (Xen dying / surviving) doesn't affect the War Assets
My point exactly. She shows signs of this in what little dialogue she has outside of this quest, but unless Tali died in your ME2 import, you won't even get to see or hear much of it.Xen is the only goddamn person in the entire galaxy that is looking for an option that does not involve a) wetting their pants and begging the geth for their homeworld back
running off half-cocked into a win-or-die war with a much bigger win-or-die war already taking place
Those were Reaper-controlled, kinda hard to hijack. That said, I was iffed they weren't a side mission. ME1 had oodles of ship-borne side-missions. ME2 had a handful. ME3? Only has Grissom that can qualify as such.after they have hijacked some rogue (the ones the asari Councilor mentioned)

Shepard: Legion helped me! I wont let you experiment on him!
Xen: So did your pistol.

Damn Tvtropes leading me to random places on the internet.
I remember Sovereign saying that the Citadel was a trap. A way to lure organics in so the Reapers could destroy us more easily.
I think so. Look at this.
I know. But is that all the Citadel is?
So many have lived their lives here and called the Citadel "home". If it were just a trap, would the Reapers have added gardens?
Someone programmed them to think that way... to see the war as inevitable, so that destroying the organics was merciful.
They're like the geth. After the geth drove us into exile, they repaired our cities. Their programming made them care.
Right. They're still just machines.
They made this place a trap to prevent a war between organics and synthetics. So we wouldn't be destroyed permanently.
But they were wrong. You proved that it's not inevitable. My people are at peace right now.
They just think on a larger scale. 50,000 years to bait a trap.
Do you ever feel guilty? That we're stealing a quiet moment while the war goes on?
{chuckle} The night's young... You know what I mean.
You know what I mean.
Exactly.
Seeing what we're fighting for?
Do they? On the flotilla, we'd rotate people off active duty, but... we didn't have shores.
So, what, just look at trees and remember what we're fighting for?
I have a home.
I have a home... thanks to you.
I'm not fighting for them.
I've got Rannoch and the Normandy. That's more than enough to fight for.
Xen? Right about what?
It has to be more than that.
If we hadn't stopped Sovereign a few years ago, the Reapers would have destroyed us right then.
They care about us... somehow. The Reaper on Rannoch said everything it did was to prevent a war.
Why not? Bait for the trap. All that Reaper on Rannoch cared about was continuing the cycle.
Whatever their reasons, right now, we have this.
This isn't exactly dinner and a vid.
We just stopped a murderer who was sabotaging the keepers.
Part of me wants to be out there in the Normandy right now. There's still more to do.
But this matters, too.
Soldiers in wartime burn out without shore leave.
Anyway, soon as we're done here, we're getting back on the Normandy to win this war.
We're fighting for these people's home. Even if we don't have homes ourselves.
