I have recoded CotN to be a dual Arc/Div spellcasting progression class just to do it, and I have gotten it to accept both spellcasting progression feats at level 1 in CotN, after a level of bard (my choice could be any Arc.) and a level of favored soul (also my pref.). As I level him up I recieve feats and caster levels appropriately, but I do not get to choose new spells as a favored soul. I get all my Bard spells up to level 6, and have all 9 levels of FS but no spells to choose from except up to level 1 from the one level I took of FS. Not sure how I code it to prgoress in both and actually receive all the spells for both.

I just tried it using cleric and it works, I actually progress in both classes and get their spells, but I can not do the same with favored soul, anyone know what I am missing?

for fun I set favored soul to know all spells to simulate a cleric, and it gave me all the spells and said I had uses but says none were prepared, I then tried making it so I had to memorize them, and it dd not give me the spells. So the problem lies in being able to actually choose the spells as I thought, but no idea on how to fix it.

I can't help you very much. But, this is a known problem. If I understand correctly, it involves alphabetical order. Cleric starts with C so it gets all it's spells on time. But, something like sorceror would have problems until you take a sorceror level then you catch up on your missed sorceror spells.
What happens if you use a bard/cleric?

when I use bard/cleric, everything works perfectly, I think the problem has to do with the game not allowing me to choose spells for 2 different classes on the same level up. Since cleric knows all spells I don't have this problem. I set FS to have all spells and it gave them to me but said I did not have any prepared.

Perhaps altering the XML of the level-up UI would solve your problem

Toshiaki, this is a known problem.
You can setspellknown via script however, and make your own UI for handling that. Look for the "enhanced level up" on the vault as well which allows you at 2nd level and above to control the level up process via script.

Now we are getting into things probably beyond my comprehension, I was hoping it would be an easy mod. I looked at the XML level-up ui but it was all position based, not really sure how I add script allowing for spell selection for 2 classes in one level. I will probably stick with cleric because it works, less hassle that way, it was a just for fun build.

I am looking at enhanced level up and I believe it will be something I have to add to levelup_spellsx2, I see where it scripts the spell selection, I am wondering if adding a second selection script with a different name but the same options will help. (repeating, scripting is not my forte)

IIRC, what is happening is that you *are* getting the spells from both classes, it's just that the UI can only handle one class, and it only shows up once, so you only get one class' spell selection.
You can add spells to characters "by hand", so with some UI work you can simulate the levelup process and make it look as though the UI is working exactly as it should when actually you're taking care of matters yourself.
The enhancedlevelup system basically does all this for feats, but not for spells. In theory, it's just a matter of using the same approach, and you can control everything which goes on as far as the spell selection GUI goes by hand. I don't think anyone's actually done that yet, though.

I have no clue about the scripting, but this sounds like an interesting way to do a PrC. What if you set it to level one and than the other next level. Like one levels odd and the other even would that work? I think getting both spells each level is a little OP in my book, but would think a PrC like this would be interesting. I was actualy thinking about doing a Cleric/Wizard Necromancer for this reason and would think a PrC for such would rock, but I have no skillz as of yet in this department.

You could make the class complete to itself, that is, with its own spell selection list including all the spells.
One thing you should be aware of in any case - there is a HARD limit on the number of spells you can know. 255. If you know 255 and there are more available unlearned, you can't get past the levelup screen; you have to quit to the desktop. This is already a factor for a wizard who tries to learn all the original and Kaedrin's spells somewhere around level 20. I imagine it will hit MUCH earlier with your dual-class character.
In fact, you may already be running into that problem.

You know I might just have to start toying with this cause the dual Wiz/Cleric thing seems interesting. There just isn't enough Cleric PrC's in my book at the moment that I hardly stray from straight cleric.
