I know we got to see all our Mass Effect 2 companions, but weren't able to have any of them on our squad in ME3. I'm just curious to know if you were to pick one character from Mass Effect 2 that you would have as a companion in Mass Effect 3, who would it have been and why?
For my first character which was a Vanguard I would have chosen Mordin. I loved having him for cryoblast and incinerate in ME2 and I found he didn't die easily.
Right now I'm playing as a Sentinel and for that game I would pick Grunt. I miss having a Krogan on my team and he was pretty awesome!
Which ME2 character would you have picked as a ME3 companion?

Thane. Always and forever the answer is Thane. He was the best new character in ME2 and he and his fans got hosed in ME3.
But if he has to stay dead I'd like Legion back as a consolation prize.

All my FemShep's would have chosen Thane without hesitation. He became an extension of them and I found it hard to adjust in combat without him there. The one squadmate I had that never fell in combat on me and he was the one who was dying. It just seemed so quiet without him talking in the background.
My Sheploo would have chosen Jack. He dragged her all over and she was as crazy as he was. He liked having her Warp and Shockwave, especially the Shockwave when we were in a place full of husks.

I would have to say Grunt too. It seemed in ME3 they missed a walking tank character.

Only one? Than Miranda or Legion should've been permanent squadmates in ME3. Especially Legion since he could've been easily retconned to survive the Suicide Mission, even if his physical platform got destroyed.

^Yup, what Isaac said. And, provided Miranda survived the suicide mission, it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to have her back on the Normandy (in my opinion at least).

Thane and Samara would be favorites for me.... But I'd pretty much like all of them because I am greedy. *grabby hands*

Of those introduced in ME2, Jack or Grunt maybe. Jack would have been very useful as another non-DLC biotic (as would Miranda and Samara). Basically, yeah, one of ME2's biotics, first choice Jack.

Only One? Well than it's obviously Samara. Because I'm certain all of us would have wanted our LI right next too us. The other Characters I would have loved to have back on my squad
1.Samara
2.Thane
3.Jack
4.

Seconded.
Very much seconded. *Grabby Hands*
Isn't kind of ridiculos that we went from 10 Squadmates (12 with DLC) to 5 (6 with DLC)?

@Tashash I think it's complete and utter Bullsh!t that we went from 12 to 6 squad mates.
Oh and that stupid BS line about a smaller more intimate squad is just that bullsh!t because not a single one of those squad mates were ones my Shep wanted to be intimate with.
Also BS about the smaller more tight knit squad and deeper relationships.Because I say Ashley was more deeper? Her much deeper ingrained mistrust of Cerberus and Shepard was handle so well we got a whole whopping 1 conversation with her on the Normandy where she was drunk and Tali's Zaeed style drunken covo managed to beat Ashley's non-Zaeed style one.
Yep all BS, all of it, I want my ME2 cast back I'd be willing to forgo the ME2 DLC squad mates Zaeed and Kasumi, in favor of more well rounded and developed content with the rest of the ME2 squad, and give some more content to Ash and Vega.
Oh and Mordin he's fine, I was quite happy with his whole role in ME3 and his death, it made me I don't have closure and it was done so great, Mordin giving his life to save the Krogan and undo the STG sabotage. He was getting up there in his years and not many left, sure it brought a tear to my eyes but it was a well done scene and I was happy with it.
I would have like to have more time with Legion and maybe take him on some missions like I had to with Tali, where he was a squad mate. I was OK with Legion's death, just not happy about him being non-existent until it a happened.
Thane no way no way was that even half assed fine, His death hit me the hardest and at first the death scene seemed so well pulled off, until I went back on the Normandy and the longer it sat it was like a giant festering wound that got more infected the longer sits.

Jack, absolutely. With Jack and Grunt my Shepard's team was a force of nature in ME2, in ME3 there is no team that could do the same amount of destruction, I almost felt forced to select a second squadmate besides Garrus sometimes.
Also, always loved Jack's reactions to... everything.

I'm still hoping they will somehow fix it with a DLC that let you (at least) choose a more ME2-friendly storyline, picking up on the Normandy some of your ME2 squadmates (at least, your LI).
But I know I'm just dreaming.
