The title says it all. Who would be willing to buy a ME1 HD edition, with better gameplay, high-res textures, and more varied locations? Do you think 2017 is too late a date? What else would you like to see improved or changed?

A little something to get you in the mood:

Comment away!:)

I would buy it in a heartbeat. 2017 does seem too soon though. 12-15 years would be better....but that's just my feeling.

Thank you for reminding me how insanely awesome the first game was, again. I got goosebumps all over from that video. Thank you.

Yeah I just though about that. ME1 I think had the best story and dialogue by far over the two other games, the only thing that prevented it from being the clear cut best (And near perfect) was the gameplay. I would definitely pre order this.

I would sell blood and organs for it if need be.

Edit:

Sooner would be awesome. Available on PS3?

Microsoft owns the rights to ME1, not EA. So its all up to Microsoft really, but I doubt it entirely.

I should hope so.

On a different note, who's up to designing a cover for the Anniversary Edition? It doesn't exist yet so we may as well craft it to our liking.;)

As long as the RPG elements stay intact, I would gladly buy it!

This.

I would also sell someone's blood and organs. I'd want to keep my own so I could enjoy playing the game.B)

No.

I'm afraid they'll try to "fix" it more and ruin everything I liked about it.

just make sure to have starkid and a crucible hint in ME1 to make it look like it's not an asspull in the last 14 minutes of ME3

Do we really need 10 hours of trying to drive a Mako up all those random mountains while using movement controls? (which I'm assuming will be mandatory in 2017...nice work Nintendo)

Anderson actually speculates to Shepard after the destruction of the Prothean beacon in ME1 that it may have contained "blueprints for an ancient weapon of mass destruction"...

I am also totally for this and I totally agree with what everyone is saying for a true remake of the first game. Odan i love that trailer! I am missing your trailers when your going to be working on another one? The thing with the first Mass Effect it feels so much like a old movie, like star trek the old series or a more a recent example of like with SG1 where that one was stuck in the 90s SGA felt more like now.

I'd totally buy a HD version of Mass Effect! But 2017 just seems too far away in my opinion. Something I'd like to see more tough is a trilogy set with all three games (included HD-updated ME1).

I would buy it, but I prefer that they didn't. I'd like for it to actually feel like ME1. A remake would probably take out film grain and change the inventory, ammo, and combat.
