No.

I hate how Mass Effect 3 ended, but I still love the series. I also thought ME3 was the best game of the series, until the last 5 or 10 minutes.

I'm waiting to see how this extended ending DLC plays out.

Me too. I really misspent my youth.

Not a chance. Not like I would have done anything incredibly productive with those hours.

No. I enjoyed the journey even if the end was okay

no, what a question! there are worse things to get invested into than a video game, and mass effect was a good game.

No single regret at all. While I don't like ME3's ending, I love the rest of the game AND the multiplayer, and both of the previous installments.

 Getting invested? No.
Getting emotionally invested? Different question - I was very upset by the endings. Very.

But I guess I did really enjoy myself  for a large part of the game and I really did care about the characters so overall no, I don't regret it!

Mass Effect 1 was worth it. I regret having high hopes for ME2 and ME3, but Mass Effect 1 was worth every moment I spent thinking about it.

Nope. I have no regrets about this game series because they were fun.

No. ME1 still holds a place in my heart. Over time, just as with RoboCop, Predator and many other 1980s ackshun movies which Mass Effect was, you will learn to ignore the existance of sequels and your soul will, too, find peace.

Why would I regret the games that have brought me years of enjoyment?

Sure the endings weren't the best, but really now. If I enjoyed my time playing what do the endings matter to my overall enjoyable hours?

So no I dont regret invested joy into the ME series, I've enjoyed the journey and hope to play more in the future.

I regret ever coming to the forums in the first place.

But the games? No, I don't regret those. But then, I liked the endings, so obviously I'm a stupid bigot PR troll, according to the people here.

I've enjoyed every bit of it. Including reading the novels, and the comic book that came with the CE.

+1

The endings may have been terrible but ME3 still has its share of fantastic moments, in short I have no regrets playing a second of it

Hey, the base-breaking nature of the ending was obvious from a mile away. You had to be seven kinds of oblivious not to expect flame wars on one of the most legendarily flamey video game discussion boards in the English portion of the Interwebs.

And if it counts for something, I'm an anti-ender, and I don't think you're a troll, I just think you're luckier than the rest of us. You have other things to worry about, or you can draw enjoyment from things that depress us. Good for you.

I only regret getting invested over ME3. I do suppose I will be able to play ME and ME2 in the future. I will just completely ignore the botchiness that is ME3. I have some fraps movies of the nicest scenes in ME3 which I can watch and that shall be enough. ME and ME2 didn't disappoint me like ME3 did so I will still be able to get some fun out of it (by entirely ignoring the existens of the ME3 endings and the other crap that came with it)

I can never get a reliable statistic regarding whether or not most people enjoyed Mass Effect 3.
Those who loved that game seem a little quiet here. Those who "hated" it seem to shout loudest on the forums.

(I put hated in speech marks since I tend to reserve hate for dictators, murderers, rapists, torturers, serial killers, spineless people who allow millions of people to be executed because they refuse to disobey the chain of command etc. Not for dissapointing video games.)

For me I loved the game. I was a little dissapointed by the ending, but I am not in the camp that feels that a couple of minutes of bad writing can completly invalidate an entire video game.

I don't know whether this view puts me in the minority, majority or somewhere inbetween.
But I can tell you this. I don't regret getting invested on one of the greatest video gaming trilogies of all time. Bioware still crafts amazing video games from Buldurs Gate to Never Winter Nights to Mass Effect.

But that is just my opinion...
