the games as such are great. had really lots of fun but due the bad ending, which left a really bad taste behind and doesnt want to go away, i cant bring my self to play any of these games again.

Yes and No, the endings made it feel like nothing we did mattered but i still very much liked ME1 and ME2 + Some parts of ME3

No.

I hate how Mass Effect 3 ended, but I still love the series. I also thought ME3 was the best game of the series, until the last 5 or 10 minutes.

I'm waiting to see how this extended ending DLC plays out.

This.  Mass Effect 3's ending is the worst I've ever seen in gaming history.  However, Mass Effect as a franchise is the best sci-fi roleplaying series I've ever played.

I like the series but each time I get to the ending, I get the feeling that my whole journey was for nothing.

Nah.

I think the direction they went after ME1 was less in the interest of the game itself and there were a number of things about ME3 that irked me (including the ending) but the games themselves are still awesome.

I regret ever coming to the forums in the first place.

But the games? No, I don't regret those. But then, I liked the endings, so obviously I'm a stupid bigot PR troll, according to the people here.

What is your problem?

But it has definitely taken some of the wind out of my sails.

Actually, from time to time, yes.

When I first purchased ME1, I had to decide between that and another game. After the ending for the trilogy, sometimes I wish I had gone the other way.

No. I have my concerns about how the franchise could eventually continue, but where there is money there is a way.

No.

ME3 was an overall disappointment for me, but that doesn't change the regard I have for the previous two titles.

If I'd known, that the series would turn out like it did in the ending I would never have touched it.

The ME series was never great in regards of gameplay. It was the story and the characters that got me into it. Without the story the games are nothing. And because ME 3 destroyed the story with its ending there is nothing left to keep ME as a series alive.

Seriously, the gameplay of ME3 was extremely repetitive and simple => go to planet x => go to area => defeat several waves of spawning enemies => repeat.

If it wasn't for the story I would've quit the game right after start.

No. The only thing I regret is coming to the BSN hoping there would be worthwile threads and topics, and a reduced number of simpletons...

It's hard to say i regret playing ME 1 and 2, since they are simply masterpieces, but if this ending will stand.. I don't know..

Not at all. 99.9% of the series is outstanding, and that 0.1% really isn't as bad as everyone makes out. Was the ending dissapointing? Yes, overall, for the majority (it would seem). Does it make Virmire any worse as a result? No. Is helping Liara foil the Shadow Broker still fun? Yes.

Is ME3 still fun overall? Personally? Yes, it's a damn good game. I'm playing through ME1 again, and those missions and interactions are still just as fun as they were the first time round. Will my choices have huge consequences? No, but I still want to do things in the best way I can. I'm not going let the colony on Feros die because there's no major consequence at the end to having them live.

I still enjoy the whole series, and will do for along time.

No, never. I enjoyed my time with all three games, barring the third ending, and I feel like that time and investment was well worth my time. I just wish they hadn't had made all that work null and void. Helps that I've kinda made the ME3 ending non-canon in my mind.

No, i still adore ME2 and have affection for ME1. Just a pity they stripped out the core rpg elements in ME3 and put in the atrocious ending. Not how i hoped they would bring trilogy to a close by a long shot.

No I don't regret it. But I don;t want to be unclear here and allow people at BioWare to take this as a victory. If I could physically go into my game and scratch out a part of it, so that it was unplayable...I would to the ending of this game. Its only because of the greatness that came before that I don;t regret this. It is because of those very same things that this ending is so damn frustrating too.

No, ME3's failure is quite the educational experience. So that's valuable in its own way. Without the context of the previous games, I wouldn't have been able to understand this entire hype and wouldn't have been able to see the true severity of the trilogy's faceplant at the very end.
