Me too. I really misspent my youth.

It's time for math!

well, 4 ME1 plythrough plus 6 ME2 and 1 ME3: 10 * 35(h) + 27 = 377 hours.

If someone (I) read 20 pages per hour, he could read 7540 pages, or more than 15-20 books :pinched:

No, ME3's failure is quite the educational experience. So that's valuable in its own way. Without the context of the previous games, I wouldn't have been able to understand this entire hype and wouldn't have been able to see the true severity of the trilogy's faceplant at the very end.

Ditto.

No.

I hate how Mass Effect 3 ended, but I still love the series. I also thought ME3 was the best game of the series, until the last 5 or 10 minutes.

I'm waiting to see how this extended ending DLC plays out.

Exactly my thoughts.

I think that I messed up getting ME3. I should not have jumped in on the preorder hype - or that trash the critics all called GOTY and all of that mess.

I would have been better off having never seen ME3 at all - or played it. The ending is that crap bomb. I'd rather have no ending at all than the trash they forced on us. How can they go from a totally constructable ending like in ME2 into a hairy terdpile that is the ending of ME3? I am amazed that they are so retarded. I guess thats what happens when your writers and your producers forget to take their antidepressents.

I do like the multiplayer though - it is the best part of ME3.

Not at all.  The franchise as a whole was well worth the time I've invested and continue to invest.

I hated ME3.

....But do I regret it.... hmmm.... It has shown me a direction I DO NOT WANT the gaming industry to take. As in this game is cancer to our hobby. Look at the path they are going down!

Nobody should be buying any EA products if their going to endorse lying and not completing products before release. Then making players pay to get key points from games or to pay for their product they didn't complete in time.

Others companies are going to follow their lead if you let them do it. Be a good consumer. Complain and do not buy their products. Rent, buy pre-played or borrow games that you must absolutely play. Make them hurt and listen.

Nope. Mass Effect (I think about it as one long game rather than three seperate games) is #1 on my all time favourite list, even with the disappointing ending. I wouldn't give up these characters or missions for anything.

Not a single regret. The most amazing RPG trilogy ever created, that I believe will not be surpassed within this current console generation. Mass Effect is a fantastically well-realized world and is the product of years of passion, dedication and creativity by Bioware. I'm just glad to be along for the ride.

Not a single regret. Great series, with all the playthroughs, probably closing in on 1000 hours of enjoyment.

Worth it until the ending. Ending drained it all from me.
How to word this right...
95% of the series= Worth it
5% of the series (the endings of ME3) = Burn it with fire and kick starbrat in the nuts.

Not really. Mass Effect 1 was good , great if you just take the plot planets. ME2 is one of my favourite games. I do regret having to play ME3 though, just because I'd played the others. Outside of Chuchanka and Ranoch, there was very little worthwhile in the game.

No, I don't regret it. I was disappointed by ME3 (not only the ending), but I would be lying if I said that I did not get any enjoyment at all from playing it. I also enjoyed playing the previous games, especially ME2.

I think the melodrama is getting a little ridiculous.

The Mass Effect Games were some of the best in a very long time.

They are a great story, and the gameplay has always been fun.

The ending of Mass Effect 3 sucked, but the Developer acknowledged it and promised to do something about it...

regret ever getting invested?  What kind of self indulgent crap is this?

It's not like we're talking about Dragon Age 2 here:o

In regard to my regret, the answer now would be yes. Had I a time machine and seen what was coming, there is no doubt in my mind I would have avoided the series (How many of you would not have done the same?).

Sure it was a great experience up until the end, but given that the shipped ending (which Bioware adamantly supports) is the ending of the series. I sure do wish I had invested my time in other hobbies and school. It would have been a more productive use of time (18 play throughs in ME 1 & ME2...a lot of time!) that wouldn't have led to slap in the face.

I am not saying that I am in tears or sorrow over the ending, the feeling for me is more of an annoyance.

Of all the regrets I could have in my life thus far, playing a video game will certainly not be one of them, regardless of how disappointed I am with them.
